Elizabeth is slightly taller than average for her age, standing at 5 foot 10 inches. She's lanky too, with long arms and legs. She looks as if she just grew out of her awkward teenager phase, as she seems not quite sure how to compose herself. Liza has sandy blonde hair that falls below her shoulders. When she isn't covering it with a hat of some sort, she keeps it parted down the middle and simple. She's got light brown eyes and pretty much average features. She almost always has a tan, on account of her numerous sunbathing escapades, and she has a couple of freckles on her arms and shoulders.

Personality, Traits, Quirks

Elizabeth is a 'cool' girl, essentially. Not the preppy, queen bee kind of cool, but a relaxed, more mature type. She's very calm and collected most of the time, but maintains a positive attitude. She's interested in normal teenager things, like music and TV, but she also has a few quirky interests. Eliza enjoys making friendship bracelets, and her wrists often display her crafts. She loves bracelets of all shapes and sorts, and has a massive collection. She also collects oddly colored rocks from the river on the outskirts of the town that she visits on her spare time. Eliza has also discovered that she likes having photographs of herself taken, but she herself doesn't like taking pictures. When she isn't at the river or hanging out with friends or up to her neck in homework assignments, she enjoys playing board games, more so than the normal person. Elizabeth isn't a risk taker, but she will go along with the crowd if enough people are doing something she doesn't necessarily approve of. She's very grounded, though, and doesn't let her mind wander often. When she knows what she wants, she tries her very hardest to get it, though it isn't unusual for her to be indecisive from time to time. She's very messy, and has the hardest time keeping anything organized and clean, most notably her room. As per usual, Eliza is hip with all the slang of the decade, and her speech is jam-packed with it, something that drives her parents nuts.

Strengths: Easygoing, Polite
Weaknesses: Conforming, Indecisive

History and Past

Elizabeth Renee Mendler was born on June 3 of 1978, to Mary and Joshua Mendler. It was an unexpected, but welcome, pregnancy. She was a bit of an odd baby, though, as she didn't start talking properly until after her second birthday. Her speech developed normally thereafter, but she did have a little bit of a struggle forming full sentences as a young child.

Eliza was born in the state of Oregon, and stayed there for the first eight years of her life, making good friends and attending school normally. After she had turned eight, her parents relocated their family, which just consisted of Elizabeth and her parents, moving them to the east coast of the United States because of an open job opportunity for Mr. Mendler. They settled in the town of Peabody, Massachusetts where Eliza had to make all new friends, attend an entirely new school, and get accustomed to the way people lived on the east coast. She didn't take kindly to the move, and had a hard time adjusting to her new life. She kept to herself mostly in the new town, not really talking or playing with other kids. Her grades in class were also not up to her usual standard, as a result of her unhappiness. It wasn't until she met a kid her age in Salem with whom she became excellent friends with that she started opening up more, and started liking it in Massachusetts.

As the years went on, she made more and more friends, and grew older as any normal child would. She did pretty good in school, but not the best. Elizabeth was never a genius kid, but she did like to try in class and get good grades. The girl quickly found herself becoming part of the 'popular' crowd, though she felt she never really clicked perfectly with them. She developed an odd sense of style as well, preferring long dresses and big sun hats to the grungy, torn jeans her friends were wearing. By the time she had gotten into high school, she was known as "that one nice, odd girl." Eliza was nice, in an indifferent kind of way. She got along with her parents just fine, though she had the occasional argument with them over how she was doing in school (which was good to Eliza, but slacking to her parents) and the kinds of people she was hanging around with (pretty much the normal crowd to Elizabeth, but the trouble making delinquents to her parents).

Her name has always been an interesting thing to Elizabeth. Nearly everyone calls her something different, whether it be Liza, Eliza, Liz, Beth, etc. Practically any normal variation of Elizabeth, she has heard. She doesn't have the heart to say so to others, but she doesn't care for most nicknames. She really only likes Eliza, the nickname her father gave to her, and Liza. The reason that she cares so much about what she's called is because, to her, it reflects her sense of identity. Eliza has struggled with who she is exactly over the years, switching between fad after fad, not sure of who she wanted to be. She was everchanging for a period, always switching her style and her 'image.' Finally, she realized that she was simply comfortable and happy once she settled on her own style, apart from the rest of the crowd.

Now, at 17, and with her 18th birthday not that far on the horizon, Elizabeth is starting to wonder what it is she wants to do with the rest of her life. She has numerous choices in front of her, college, a job, relationships, but she isn't entirely sure of what she wants to do. It's gotten to the point where she's getting a little stressed over the whole deal, but she isn't letting it show.
