Gloria Renee Winchester
Chaser for the Wimbourne Wasps
Birthday: December 18, 1974
Age: 21
-Appearance-
Gloria has short (at times) brown hair and is about 5’6. She has brown eyes and loves to show them off. She likes to wear comfy clothes and on a day off, she likes to wear her PJ’s all day. Normally, she wears jeans and shirts but when she goes out she likes to mix/match her clothes and have maybe a mini skirt with knee high socks or maybe a dress with some crazy jacket. Depending on the mood she’s in, her style may surprise you or may just bore you.
-Personality-
Gloria can give off an ‘I don’t really care’ attitude and sometimes she does. She likes to do things her way and doesn’t like to be told what to do. Usually, if you tell her one thing, she’ll do the opposite. Though, this doesn’t apply to Quidditch, she listens to all of her team members and if they’re wrong she has no problem telling them that but if there right, then she’ll take their advice and put it into the next game. So it’s safe to say Gloria is a fairly good listener and only pretends she isn’t listening. She’s very outgoing and loves to be spontaneous. If you say hi to her, she’ll most certainly give you a big wave and say hi back. Her favorite saying is “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” It proves her right every time she meets someone new with both her and that person.
-History/Past-
Gloria was born on December 18th, 1974. She grew up as an only child for about 5 years before her parents decided to have another child, her younger sister, Aubrey Elena. At first Gloria thought she was the cutest thing ever but as she grew up she started to realize the truth. Gloria and Aubrey were as different as could be. Aubrey cared for school and was always seen with a book and pencil. As for Gloria, she hated reading and avoided it if she could and writing, don’t even mention it to her or she’ll turn right then and there on her heels and walk away as fast as she can. Needless to say, her younger life was just plain and normal but all of that changed when she had gotten her acceptance letter from Hogwarts. Her parents were flabbergasted but once Angelica had gotten over her hysteric’s and Jeffery had acknowledged this wasn’t a prank they welcomed this new course of things.
Gloria loved Hogwarts. Her first train ride she rode in the same compartment as one her newly found friends, Morgan Green. They talked the whole way and were later sorted into the same house. Her attitude towards school work didn’t change at all when she got to Hogwarts. She still didn’t care much for homework so she would barely pass her class and only getting the notes from Morgan or someone when the final exams came around. This caused trouble when she had to play quidditch for her house’s teams. Though, she would always pull through at the last minute, she secretly liked to see the nerves expressions on her team mates faces as she was about to announce if she passed or not. “Always keeping you on your toes.” Is what she would regularly say to them. She played quidditch from her 3rd year to her very last year and loved every single minute of it. Her main and only position was Chaser. What she loved about it was that she was always moving and being at the center of the action. By far the best sport to play in your spare time besides the boring and routinely played games back at her old school when she was younger. In a way, quidditch was like a release for her from school and from the everyday life at Hogwarts. She loved Hogwarts very dearly but she would just need a break from it every now and then. During Gloria’s 6th year, Aubrey joined Hogwarts. It didn’t really come as a surprise for her because Gloria had been accepted as well but she had always wonder if Aubrey would join and now that her thoughts were answered, all she had to do now was grin and bear it. It was actually pretty awesome to have her younger sister around again. At that year’s first quidditch match, it sort of put a smile on Gloria’s face as she zoomed by the stands and saw Aubrey there cheering her on.
Graduation was very bitter sweet. She was very glad to get out into the magical world for herself but, during that last year, she had grown fond of, dare she say it, school and all it had to offer. She even started to hang out with Aubrey whenever they could. Now that she was on her own, she had made it her personal goal to join a professional quidditch team. She would do anything to make this dream of her come true and so she began on a quest to make it happen.
