Appearance

Sadly, Konrad got the short end of the stick when it came to height with his brother. Where Nikolai stands at five feet ten inches (just a couple inches short of six feet), Konrad only stands at five feet seven inches. Other then that he and his brother are pretty much the same. His hair is just a couple shades darker then his brother's hair and he keeps it a little shaggier then his brother's as well and he has blue eyes.

Over-all: Growing up Konrad always felt inferior to his older sister, Myrna, and because of this a habit of trying to be superior to his younger brother grew. He would state that he was the older twin, if only by a minute, and take his brother's things. This was something that did not diminish over time, though it was not as bad as when they were children. He was used to having the attention of his parents on himself and his brother and when it suddenly disappeared with the birth of his little sister, Olesya, he was upset. He threw the biggest tantrum he had ever thrown before and turned his sister into a bug. As he got older Konrad was able to get his jealousy under control so that he was not always trying to take his brother's items or turning his siblings into different things.

His interaction skills with other people has something to be desired. He is an honest person and has no problem telling one his opinions of them which makes him come across as rude much of the time. Now that he is older he is a bit more easy going and has a long fuse to getting him angry, but once you've made him angry look out. He will both scream at you and in between that he will hex you into the next year. Not many things can really get him that angry, but the one that will get him there quicker then you can blink is messing with his family, especially his twin. He is protective of his brother often calling him 'delicate' and saying that he 'needs protecting with such a baby face.'

Most of his friends are made through his brother because as stated before his interaction skills have something to be desired. He could make friends on his own if he really wanted to, but he much prefers to just use his brother to get them, it makes his life easier. Konrad likes to play pranks on people at times and sneak around the castle at night even if there are not a lot of places to go. Sadly, he gets caught doing these things and as such is normally in some sort of trouble at school, but it has never been bad enough for them to kick him out.

Other then all of these things Konrad has a love of reading and drawing. He normally comes out with very good grades, not as good as Nikolai's but close. And like his brother he does not make a huge deal out of these grades because he sees no point. They are just things that add up over the course of the year and the important grades come from the end of the year.

History

His parents, Yuriy and Grunia Shevyakov, met at Durmstrang during the 1960's. Their first child, Myrna, was born in October of '74. The couple had not planned to have a child since they had just moved past their internship years and were getting started in their jobs. Grunia in the Department of Magical Games and Sports working with Norway's Karasjok Kites and Nordic National Quidditch Team for the European League and World Cups, while Yuriy was in the International Magical Cooperation's department.

Their daughter was intelligent even as a young child, soaking up knowledge like a sponge. Three years later on September 20, 1977 the couple was given their second and third child, Konrad and Nikolai, with the eldest twin being one minute older then his brother (which Konrad would point out many times in the coming years). The twins felt inferior to their older sister when it came to knowledge, but their parents made up for it by spoiling them more then her. A set back to the twins feeling inferior to their sister was that Konrad had to try and be more superior to Nikolai. He had to have everything that his brother had and he would often point out that he was the oldest, none of which changed even as they got older.

Grunia and Yuriy home schooled their children in every possibly muggle and magical subject that could prepare them for school. Then in December of 1980 the last child was born to the family, Olesya. Konrad did not like having most of his attention taken away, he threw a huge tantrum and turned his little sister into a bug. Luckily the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad was able to change her back into a baby, but a week later they were back. Konrad had shoved his brother out of a tree and in retaliation the younger boy turned him into a plant. The boy would never look at a plant the same again.

When his eldest sister left off for school three years before he did he was disgruntled. He did not want her to be able to go off to some foreign school and learn new things that he would have to wait for, if he even got in. Yet, when they were accepted it was the younger twin who was more excited about it because really Konrad would have had no problem just keeping his sister out of school. Really, who wanted to go live in a school?

At school Konrad and Nikolai kept pretty close together because they did not know how to interact with other children. Myrna made sure to pick on them because of their reluctance to make friends with other people at the start of the year. Nikolai was a bit more outgoing then his older brother and was the first of the two to make a new friend. At first Konrad was alright with that, his brother deserved to have someone other then family to talk and hangout with, or at least that's what he told himself until his brother started spending to much time with said new friend. The eleven year old made a plan to separate the two boys and steal Nikolai's friend from his brother, which became a rather common occurrence throughout their first year of school.

As second year came upon them Konrad saw his brother grow to love Quidditch and take on the position of chaser for the team, which meant that Konrad had to get a position on the team, keeper. Konrad was often getting injured during the game, not badly just a lot, and he had a bad habit of getting into trouble during the school year and Nikolai would fuss over it. This caused a rumor to start up that year about the twins being a married couple with Konrad as the husband and Nikolai as the wife. It was easy to see why the younger twin would have been the wife and the older twin the husband because Konrad was protective of his brother who he enjoyed picking on, who was 'delicate' and 'needed protection with such a baby face.'

Third and Fourth year were nothing exciting. They kept their classes and continued to play Quidditch, yet they were both relieved to see Myrna graduate. It meant that she would no longer be able to tell embarrassing stories about them to the other students, so long as they did not go into a job at the ministry. Although in their fourth year Olesya did begin her first year.

Fifth year was again not something exciting to speak of, but both twins did stop and take a look at their futures and what they wished to do with them. Nikolai decided that he wanted to go to professional with Quidditch, but for a bit Konrad didn't really know what he wanted to do. For a while he thought about going into the medical field and contracting with whatever team Niko got placed on. He held that idea for most of his sixth year of school, but closer to the end of the year he started changing his mind. He completely changed his mind about what he was going to do when Niko mentioned going to the Quidditch draft. Two things finalized his decision. The first was that he couldn't let his little brother go off to try out for Quidditch without him and the second was that he loved Quidditch to much to not play it once he left school. So now he's in Australia trying out and hoping to get on a good team.

After trying out for a team and being sent back home he was nervous about actually making it on a team and the same team as his brother. When the owl showed up telling him that he was to play keeper for the Vratsa Vultures he was excited and it was even better because his brother was on the team too. Now he can't wait for Quidditch season.
