Appearance: Lorrin was a tall, strong young man. He stayed in good shape through taking part in various physical activities and never worried too much about being too big or too little. Unfortunately, this all changed almost immediately after his transformation. The young man quickly began to grow thinner and hollower in appearance. His eyes have become sunken and dead-looking; his skin has paled; his hair gone thin and wiry. The poor guy looks just a tick off from a dead corpse.
Personality: Lorrin has always been a pretty average guy, though a bit of a loner. He’s not the type to hang around in the dark on his own or anything like that, but always prefers the company of those he knows rather than many strange, new people. Despite the fact that he doesn’t like getting too involved with new people on most occasions, he has always been very close with his family and friends. He trusts them all very much, though it has taken a lot for it to get to that point.
Now, as a vampire, Lorrin has become afraid of a lot of things. Early on, he felt weak and helpless, like no one could be trusted, even those he was once closest to. He often felt very sick for reasons other than just his turning. However, after several months of being a vampire, Lorrin has begun to come to terms with what happened and even trust a few select people.
History/Past: Must include family information and how the character became a Vampire. Things started out simple enough in Lorrin Ramsey’s life. He was the third child of his middle-class parents, living in London, England. His siblings consisted of brother four years older and a sister 3 years older.
It was an average childhood for Lorrin – he attended public school, becoming close with his siblings and several other kids his age, just as he liked it. He didn’t take part in many sports, other than messing around with his friends and family from time to time. He was more interested in his studies and was naturally talented in most areas. By the time he graduated, Lorrin had plenty of options in front of him, though he was entirely unsure what direction he should take. Instead of immediately continuing his schooling, Lorrin took a couple years off, getting job and thinking about his options.
Eventually, Lorrin took advantage of his talents and started at a school in London. Unfortunately, he still wasn’t sure what it was that he wanted to do, but he figured he still had some time before he really had to decide. He and his family could all agree though – whatever he decided to do, he would be good at it.
Things looked promising for Lorrin. He always made good choices…except that one time.
It was one drunken evening - now, Lorrin wasn’t really one for much drinking, but he couldn’t say no to having a good time with a few friends here and there, though it may have progressed on to be a bit more- and before long, Lorrin wasn’t quite in his right mind. There had been a girl in the bar; she was beautiful, with porcelain skin and glowing eyes. Her facial features were perfect, as though chiseled by angels…but was she really so beautiful, or was Lorrin’s drunken mind just taking advantage of him? It didn’t matter at the time, because Miss Beautiful was casting Lorrin seductive looks.
Lorrin can’t exactly recall all the details of what happened next, but he ended up following the young lady along to the room she was staying in. What started out as an intimate moment turned into some much, much different. But Lorrin was weak in his drunkenness, and this girl was deceivingly strong. He was kept down, blood draining from his body. He was going to die.
Apparently Miss Beautiful hadn’t been planning to kill someone, which Lorrin would find very surprising of someone who drank human blood. Once again, Lorrin was still drunk as hell, but the woman’s blood had been dripped into his own mouth, and he was forced to swallow. Shortly after, Lorrin passed out, not waking up until two nights later. He felt so many things – sick, cold, sore, weak – but at the same time, his senses were enhanced, his wounds from the attack were all but gone, and thoughts that weren’t his own were popping into his head.
Lorrin took off that night, confused and scared. In all his confusion he has avoided his friends and family, even months after his siring. He's sure they they all just assume he's dead, and thinks that maybe it's better left that way.
Quickly after his siring, Lorrin ran into another vampire, Devdas Mallick. This older, wiser vampire became a mentor of sorts, helping the fledgling come to terms with what had happened, and even leading him to realize that things might actually work out okay, perhaps even for the better.
Profession, if any, and limitations due to vampirism: Lorrin did work part-time at a grocery store and was a full-time student, though he hasn’t attended either since he became a vampire. After meeting Devdas Mallick, Lorrin was introduced to one of his friends, a taxidermist, who he has made some spare coin from by delivering him the corpses of animals he's fed from.
