Appearance: Ryouta is tall and rather slim at 182cm, six feet, one inch and around 141 pounds. He has a soft oval face, with a long nose, very dark brown eyes and fair skin. His hair is black but likes to dye it a reddish/golden brown. Ryou has been told he has one of the best smiles, not one that just stretches across his face and even shows his white straight teeth but one that always reaches his eyes, lighting up his whole face. He prefers to wear casual clothes, jeans and a t-shirt, button-up t-shirts also. His favorite colors are green and pink so that leaves him with a variety of colors to wear, since he’s man enough to wear pink. Ryou wears boots, sneakers, and at times flip-flops all depending on his mood and of course where he is going. Even though he prefers to stay casual for the most part he does know how to dress himself in semi-casual to formal wear. He has some good fashion sense instilled in him by his mother and older sister.
Personality: Ryouta is kind, compassionate, funny, loves to hang around with friends, family, just have a good time and has a positive outlook on life. He loves to crack jokes and is often seen as the dork of any group he’s hanging around with. Being silly, carefree and making sure smiles are on everyone’s face is what he enjoys most. Ryouta hyperactivity and happy-go-lucky with that smile always on his face can sometimes annoy people even though he doesn’t mean for it too. He feels that you should always be in a good mood and have a smile on your face, but he forgets sometimes that not everyone sees it that way and can become a tad irritated by his behavior. Even though at first glance Ryou mostly seems like just a big kid he does know when its time to be serious and is a conservative man. He is a hard worker in most everything he does, always putting in that extra ten percent that he believes everyone should do.
Family and friends are very important to him. Ryou has a big heart and not only shares that with friends and family but with almost anyone he comes across also. He is a very active person and would prefer to keep moving but he isn’t a jitterbug who can’t sit still for more than five minutes at a time. Patience is something he practices and is quite good at. He’s not one to get angry very quickly although if you get on his nerves he’ll find a polite subtle way of making it known or sometimes even turning the situation around with laughter. Ryouta does have his times of solemnity, no one can always have a smile on their face. Even when he doesn’t have a very happy-go-lucky day, he thinks positively and will soon comes out of the funk he was briefly in.
History/Past: Ryouta Kawaguchi was born as the middle to Meimi and Eiji Kawaguchi on November 28th, 1971 in Kanagawa. It is part of the Greater Tokyo Area. Here is where he was raised his entire life along with his four year older sister, Saori and two year younger brother, Keisuke. Ryouta had a normal childhood as he’d say, hard-working middle class parents and day to day squabbling with siblings. He got along very well with his brother, and as for Saori, they got along but well she was a girl and he was a boy, so playing together wasn’t as prominent as with his younger brother. Being as his parents were both magical, ever since he was born he had been surrounded with magic. He was a curious child and often found himself in some sticky situations, normally revolving around food or cooking ingredients in general. Such as when he was a toddler, his stomach grumbling he decided to make some food for himself, the result was oil being poured all over the floor and him sliding around in it. Now, oil isn’t exactly something you’d think a little kid would go for but he was trying to imitate his Mama’s cooking. Ryouta had fun but Meimi wasn’t as amused as Ryouta was about this wonderful way of cooking. Another time when he was a couple years older he wanted to get his father up to play with him and he made the milk fly from the kitchen and fall onto his father’s stomach, luckily this time the milk didn’t spill everywhere but a jug of cold milk landing heavily on any ones sleeping stomach was a frightening wake up call.
As Ryou grew older his curious little accidents began to cease although that didn’t mean that he still wasn’t curious, quite the opposite. He just focused more on being a big brother to Keisuke and trying to pester his sister. Ryouta found his love for dancing young and would always be found dancing in his room whenever any music was on whether it was music he had put on himself, his mother had some on in the house or just a song in his head. Because of his love for dancing and interest in tap dancing his mother put him in a dance class at the age of seven. Dance class was one of his favorite activities. Among almost always dancing at home, he also kept his family laughing with his sense of humor.
When Ryou came of age he started following in his sister’s footsteps and went into Seireitei University and had to leave little Kei behind. The two were close and always had a lot of fun together but it wasn’t like they were so attached that this would be a difficulty. Ryou leaving just made Kei want to hurry up and pass by the two years he’d have to wait. Ryouta went to Seireitei with the anticipation and excitement of meeting new people and finally getting to do all the things his sister could do with magic. He fit in easily with the students and made friends quickly. Paying attention in class was something he didn’t have a problem with except in Ancient Runes, for some reason the voice of that professor always put him to sleep. The voice was like a lullaby and frequently he got scolded for doing so and a couple times detention. Needless to say, Ryou didn’t go very far in Ancient Runes. He enjoyed doing many extracurricular activities that were offered and was very busy with school work, friends, and those activities such as Judo and playing Quidditch. During the holidays he always brought back stories to tell Kei until the boy was able to come and join them himself.
Upon graduating Seireitei University Ryouta found a position as a Healer-trainee at St. Mungo’s on the third floor, Potions and Plant poisoning. It was something he had decided in his third year that he wanted to do and worked towards that goal. Now, that he is out of school and into the workforce, the majority of his time is spent at St. Mungo’s which he doesn’t mind. Ryou still keeps in touch with a few of his friends that made the move over to England as well. His parents, Saori and Kei all supported him in his decision to work at St. Mungo’s. They all knew he had wanted to travel and this opportunity gave him not only that but a job in the field he wants. Before leaving Keisuke had told his brother that he would be joining him soon, the boy had always looked up to his older brother and as well felt that he wanted to follow in his footsteps in becoming a Healer although he did have a different section he’d like to pursue. Ryouta was looking forward to his brothers idea and they decided he could just move in with him when he makes it over. Which they both manage to cooperate with for a few years. Keisuke and Ryouta liked living together but decided that Kei would like to be a bit more independent and moved out. It was good for both boys to be on their own and they saw each other every day at work as it was. He’s much to active to live a boring life of just work and sleep. He was big on dancing when he was little and still is, he often goes to clubs but also finds time to do tap dancing. Ryouta enjoys his current life to the fullest and only see it improving from here.
