Classroom Rules:
+Students are to have a minimum of one post between each of my posts and a maximum of two.
+If you join after my second post, you have the option of either using a late post (as in your student arrives to class late) or they had been there from the start.
+Keep OOC to a minimum, feel free to quote if you're responding to someone who posted more then four posts above you. Or OOC comment that it's posting to them.
+No student will know all the answers, so feel free to have them act that way, or give wrong answers.
+No pets in the classroom, pets will earn the student an automatic detention

The Astronomy classroom was dimly lit, and never was all too bright. The classroom itself was underground, out of the light of the sun. So it was expected to be quite dark, but no one would think this dark. However, it wasn't like students were expected to be writing much. No, this class would be quite challenging to some if they weren't too careful with their studies.
There were desks and chairs throughout the room, which two people sitting at each desk. Each desk was cleared off for students to put their things atop it, such as their astronomy books, their miniature telescopes, etc. However, bringing things to class, for the most part, was always, and will always, be optional (unless stated otherwise).
The class was also split into two different sections. There was the in-classroom aspect. This was when Akaki would teach them everything they needed to know about Astronomy and apply it to life. He would teach them everything they needed to know. And then there was the out-of-classroom aspect. This was when the students themselves would need to apply what they learn outside of the classroom. It would take place at night and, of course, Akaki would be there to assist them. This was also option, but the male was always outside stargazing at the same time every night, so there was no problem.
Akaki was settled atop his desk, just twirling his wand as he waited for his students to enter. He was in his ivory colored robes, a yellow cord wrapped around his waist. It was still taking him some time to get used to being in robes, as he spent quite a while away from Isis and got to wear anything he wanted to. And he had only returned back to Isis to teach four years ago.
If it didn't need to be so, Akaki would let students wear whatever they wanted, but he had to go by the rules. So students were to wear their robes, and sandals. But when they were to do their out-of-class lessons, then students were free to wear whatever the pleased and could go barefoot for all he cared. But it was his classroom, his rules.
So as the Astronomy Professor waited for his students, he simply played with his wand. It was simply just wiggling it to make it look like there was more then one, but it was still enough to entertain him. When he believed most of the students had arrived, he smiled at all the students. Most he remembered quite well from years past. There was one or two new phases and he was glad to see them.
"Welcome to yet another exciting year of Astronomy. We'll be staying indoors for a little bit. Don't worry, I won't be keeping you indoors the whole fall. I hope to have us outside to observe the stars quite often. But before we can begin to study the stars, we first need to know something about them." He glanced around the room as he spoke, not wanting it to seem like he was just speaking to air. "There are hundreds of constellations up in the sky. Can anyone name a couple for me? Feel free to just call them out." He wanted a general idea of what his students knew about constellations, whether they were right or wrong.
