Time for Some R & R

[Lugh Barron]

There was probably not a person in the world who did not think that their workday lasted for far too long, but even amongst the rest of the masses Lugh Barron was one of the worst complainers. Almost the moment he arrived at work one could see his attention slipping and his mind beginning to wander. He was just easily distracted, and as interesting as work in the Patent Office was it was boring to sit at a desk all day. Still, work was work - and he wasn't likely to find a job anywhere else.

But now at long last the day was over, and Lugh joined the flood of other people swarming towards the exits, ready to make his way home for the weekend.

[Bree Fallon]

Bree didn't mind her job at all, really. She was doing what she loved, and sneaking around and being undercover happened to be something she loved. Bree definitely was a Slytherin at heart. That didn't mean that it wasn't nice when the day was over, though. Her job wasn't torture, but being at home was still better.

As she joined the masses leaving the Ministry, she spotted a familiar face. Bree ran into Lugh Barron quite a bit at home in Dublin, but she didn't see him as much at work.

"Hey, Barron," Bree's lips curled up into a smile as she approached him.

[Lugh Barron]

Lugh blinked and turned to see a familiar face behind him, smirking slightly as he replied "Hey there Bree, have a nice day outside today?" Tyler liked people whose jobs allowed them to get outdoors every now and then - unlike his own, which kept him behind a desk twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. "Glad the weekend is here, am I right?" Lugh asked, he himself was certainly very happy that the week had finally come to an end.

[Bree Fallon]

"Yeah definitely," Bree smiled. "At least the weather is nice, I didn't much enjoy training in the rain."

Of course, that came with the job, having to suck it up whatever the weather was like. That didn't mean Bree enjoyed every part of it, though.

[Lugh Barron]

"Lucky you." Lugh replied bluntly, wishing that he could get to go outside and enjoy nature every once and a while. "Unlike me, stuck behind a boring stuffy old desk all day." What had happened to him? he'd vowed he would never have a job like this and yet here he was, and he had no plans or illusions of moving anytime soon.

[Bree Fallon]

"Sounds pretty boring, I could never do it," Bree reached behind her and untied her hair from the ponytail it was in, and shook it loose. "Anyway, feel like going for a drink or something? Leaky Cauldron?"

[Lugh Barron]

"I could go for that." Lugh replied with a grin, wanting to get out of there and find someplace to unwind after a long day - and a nice drink at the pub seemed like a most excellent way to go about doing just that if he did say so himself. "Shall we?" he asked with a overly flamboyant gesture, laughing at himself as he did so.

[Bree Fallon]

"Yes, we shall," Bree laughed, and they started walking. Going for a drink at a pub was her favourite thing to relax, and she had known Lugh for years while growing up. He was an all right guy.

[Lugh Barron]

Lugh laughed and began walking alongside Bree, this was the first time in a while that he'd actually gone out on a Friday night, usually he just went home to his 'siblings' every night, and so it was nice to have a bit of variety in there every now and again. "So what were you up to today? Nothing too dangerous I hope." he asked with a sarcastic grin.

[Bree Fallon]

"We're basically preparing for our next trip," Bree told him. "We're going to South America," she smiled. Bree was quite excited about this, the travelling really was one of the best parts of her job.

[Lugh Barron]

"And what're you guys doing there?" he asked, genuinely interested. Bree's job was certainly much more interesting than his own was, and it was always interesting to hear what was going on in that department. After all, when there wasn't much of interest going on in your own Department, you went around and looked at what everyone else was doing instead.

[Bree Fallon]

"Oh we're undercover most of the time," Bree said, as if it was the most normal thing in the world. It was, for her. She had been on the programme since graduating from Hogwarts. "We have to make sure that there aren't any threats concerning the Ministry, and the British magical community."

[Lugh Barron]

"Ooh, like secret agent style stuff?" he asked, waving his hands around theatrically - that sounded pretty cool to him, who wouldn't want to be a secret agent after all? He certainly knew that he would love nothing more than to do something like that, but he supposed that such activities could get rather jading when you did them all of the time.

[Bree Fallon]

"Yeah, pretty much," Bree smiled. Everyone always did think her job was cool, and so did she, really. They were exiting the Ministry now, luckily the Leaky Cauldron was only around the corner.

[Lugh Barron]

"Dang, that's pretty cool if I do say so myself." Lugh replied, looking at Bree with a measure of respect. He'd never met anyone who was a spy before, and knowing one was pretty cool. "Do you have a License to Kill?" Lugh asked, thinking that all Secret Agents were supposed to have one of those.

[Bree Fallon]

"No, I don't, sadly," Bree laughed. It was still quite a nice day out, she thought. At least the days were getting warmer. "I'm still training, really. Only been doing it for a couple of years."

[Lugh Barron]

Lugh shrugged and replied "But you're gonna get one right?" This seemed a given in his mind - what kind of Secret Agent didn't have a License to Kill? They wouldn't be a Secret Agent at all without one of those! No, he was certain that Bree must just have a few more years of training before she got to that point or something like that.

[Bree Fallon]

"I don't know, maybe," Her department was one of the most secretive, they were never told all the full details. "I'm actually only a young, trainee Field Agent really."

[Lugh Barron]

Lugh nodded twice before saying with ready confidence "You should totally get one - don't know why you wouldn't." There was just no point to being a secret agent at all if you were not going to get a license to kill - that was the whole point of becoming a secret agent in the first place!

[Bree Fallon]

"Yeah, I'll see about that," Bree smiled. "We're here, anyway." She gestured to the small pub that only the magical folk could see, all the Muggles were just walking right by it.

[Lugh Barron]

"Oh yea, look at that." replied Lugh, blinking twice as they arrived at the pub. He had totally lost track of where they were going by this time, and it came as some surprise to him that they had reached their destination so quickly. "Huh, that was faster than I remember." he shrugged, not really all that interested in any of that, but it was still worth mentioning if nothing else.

[Bree Fallon]

"Your sense of direction needs to improve," Bree chuckled, "it isn't that far from work, you know." She also did walk rather quickly usually, which might have contributed to why they arrived there so quickly.

[Lugh Barron]

"Oh stuff it." Lugh replied with a smirk, "I never pay attention to where I'm going, you should know that by now." Lugh was hardly the most observant of people, but at least he was not a complete and utter idiot. Some people he knew around here could barely even pass for sentient beings!

[Bree Fallon]

"True," Bree smirked. She had known Lugh for a long time now, seeing as they were both from the lovely Ireland. "Anyway, I could really do with a cold beer right now," Bree said as they entered. Beer might not be considered the most feminine of drinks, but it was still one of Bree's favourites.

[Lugh Barron]

Lugh smirked and replied "As much as I doubt that would help my navigation skills I could go for one as well." Not that he was seriously considering not drinking just because it would make it easier for him to get around. Beer was beer, and that was more important than ease of navigation - everyone knew that.
