HAPPY EASTER FROM THE VAULT 713 STAFF! We hope all of you enjoy the day however you plan on spending it - whether that's with family, chowing down on Ham, enjoying services at church, or just chilling with us here at the Vault or on the Hub!

As we move through springtime towards the summer, it's important that you pay extra attention to the announcements and Sunday Snitch postings, as well as the in-game News Room! The next few weeks (months, maybe!) will be chock full of special events, new features, and more, so be sure to keep up on the latest news so you don't miss a thing!

This Week in the Wizarding World...

Wizarding Terror Group Strikes Again The magical community in the United States is on high alert this week following an explosion on the Bureau's official metro train over the weekend. Though it's still under investigation it's believed that the terror group known as the Runespoor Rebellion may be behind it. Only time will tell, though, especially as Ministry workers attempt to find alternate transportation with the Metro being closed until at least Wednesday.

Easter Around the World As the Easter holidays are upon is, feel free to role play your character visiting home or taking a vacation for Easter! It's common for schools to take breaks lasting one to three weeks, so don't hesitate to take the opportunity to explore a section you haven't visited before or give your seventh year a head start on job hunting!

Florence Kettlewick Magical Portrait Played by Ella, Florence is one of our newer characters, but one that caught our eye none the less! She's a magical portrait who's personality is not entirely personable, perhaps owing in part to the fact that she hangs in a bathroom of all places. Pssst! The Vault may have a PG-13 rating, but that doesn't mean that you have to keep things boring! Many great movies were PG-13 - such as The Dark Knight, Inception, and more! We're moving to a dark time in the books, so feel free to explore your own spooky storylines!

Community Spotlight

Quidditch, Quidditch, Quidditch!

Just in case you hadn't heard, everyone's getting fired up about Quidditch! Very soon we will be announcing the dates for the 1996 Professional Quidditch Draft, which lets players (and prospective players, including new graduates) to show their stuff on the field or in the air in hopes of being selected to play for the top Quidditch teams. There's still time to create a character for an existing Quidditch Team (including Ron's favorite, the Chudley Cannons!) and/or create a young witch, wizard, or 7th year student at any school to participate in the draft.

Stuck On A Thread?

...don't let it go to Purgatory! Try posting in our Rescue My Therad forum to get a little extra help! Once you post, it's an invitation for others to help give you ideas to help complete your thread, fix a broken plot, or jump in and shake things up a little. Threads that aren't finished can't earn you completed stories or other rewards, so try your best not to abandon them! We're always here to help you figure out how to fix it!

Why not drop by the Ministry Memo Department? We'll be adding more memos soon, but note that most of these require not just a Ministry member, but also regular witches and wizards from all sorts of careers. If you aren't sure how to start, just jump down to the Story Planning forum and ask around, you're sure to find a friend to post with!

General News & Updates

The last day to create 7th year students at all schools for this term will be April 15!

All other student types and ages will be perfectly up for grabs, but we'll be putting a temporary hold on 7th Years starting on April 15. Other years will be on hold soon as well, but we're starting with 7th years to avoid an influx of characters who are just about to graduate. As an alternative, we suggest creating already-graduated young adults who may have graduated last term, or younger students currently in their 6th year.

Vault T-Shirts? What?!

You asked (perhaps a looong time ago, for some of you!) - we finally delivered! We've opened up a Vault 713 Roleplay Hub Network Spreadshirt Shop where you can order your very own Vault 713 T-Shirt! We've also set up an External Sponsors Page where you can find the shirts, our Amazon affiliates links, and so on. We'll be adding more designs over time, so be sure to keep an eye on that page!

New Tags Are Being Rolled Out!

We're finally getting around to finishing the project we started a few months ago to replace all of the character tags (Such as "Gryffindor," "Ministry of Magic," etc.) with the new-style ones! Because of this, some of you may notice that your character's job title has changed slightly or that they may be missing a tag or bar. Please don't fret! We will be making a longer announcement later this week detailing the changes to the tag system and what this means for all players. As a bonus, these new tags are helping lay the framework for some really fun job-related stuff to be announced in late spring/early summer, so keep your wands at the ready!
