An Exciting Day

Kiyoshi

Neither of Akio's parents could apparate or do anything of that sort and so the journey to Ohira Japan was a bit torturous. If only a bit. Akio was sitting in the car, constantly annoyed with the fact that they were not quite there yet, but he knew he had to try and express a bit of patience as his father was doing the best he could to take him to Ohira all the way from Niigata. Regardless, having left early morning they eventually got there and the father gave Akio a wave good bye. Telling him to be safe. Now he had to make the trip back, which was incredibly painful, but he had some music so he was going to be set for the time being.

Akio walked up to the door, bouncing in his excitement. Before making two knocks, and looked up at the door with great excitement waiting for Kiyoshi or someone to answer. He couldn't wait to go to the Tengu match and cheer for them.

Kiyoshi could not even begin to imagine how torturous it must be to sit through a carride like that, and so he didn't bother. He had more important things to worry about, namely guiding Sonic the Hedgehog through the latest level of his game. He would not be defeated, he was the Sonic King after all, and the level would be laid waste before him!

When nobody answered the door, Akio frowned and looked nervous. This was the right house? Yes? He was quite sure of it, he looked down to his palm where he had written the address and then looked at the house he was standing at, yes this was the right house. What was Kiyoshi doing? Why was nobody answering the door?

Had everyone left without him, that would certainly not be a good thing and so, Akio knocked again, louder this time.

This time, the knock was loud enough to jolt Kiyoshi from his game, and he mashed the pause button before running to the door. "I've got it!" he shouted, quite unnecessarily considering that he was the only one home, and he swung open the door to reveal that it was indeed precisely who he expected. "Akio-Kun!" Kiyoshi shouted in delight, hugging his best friend as he declared "You actually drove all this way?" To be honest, he had been expecting a phone call from his friend saying that their plans had to be cancelled.

Being jumped and hugged on, Akio was a bit jolted from this but he smiled and hugged back very lightly and stepped away after a moment and nodded. "Yeah.. Dad agreed to it, it was very lucky for me... Though I feel bad for my dad having to drive back.." Akio sighed, truly feeling quite a bit of guilt from this. Still, he was getting to go to a Quidditch game, and thus couldn't really complain.

"Yeah, that must stink." Kiyoshi agreed, though in truth he was too excited to properly feel bad for Akio's dad. "Are you ready to go? Nori got me the best seats, you won't believe it!" Kiyoshi chattered excitedly, eager to get to the game now that his friend had arrived. This was going to be amazing!

"Yeah!" Akio nodded, this was going to be his first Professional Quidditch game! A truly exciting thing for the young man who had never seen Quidditch as intense as a professional team would certainly hold in store for him. "I can't wait! Lets get going!" He nodded.

Kiyoshi smiled and shoved Akio out the door as he shouted "This is going to be sick!" Of course they were not going to be walking there, the Stadium was quite far away. Fortunately for them, Noriyuke's friend Kyo lived not too far away, and Kiyoshi and Akio would be utilizing their fireplace - which was hooked up to the Floo Network.

Akio fell backwards and blinked, he was quite surprised how violent his friend was but still he would have to follow him seeing as he was in quite the unknown area at this moment in time. And so he followed his friend for a walk, curious as to where they were going. "Where are we going?" He asked, nowhere near close to showing his excitement at this moment in time seeing as he was more confused right now.

"Nori's friend is from a magic family, so we're going to Floo to the Stadium from their house." Kiyoshi smiled, his family really needed to get around to getting their house into the Floo Network at some point - it would make things a lot easier for their three Wizard children.

Akio nodded, "Oh. Okay.. That makes sense." He nodded, this certainly made quite a bit of sense. He kind of wished he could live closer by to his best friend, but he knew his parents would never agree to move, even the idea itself was preposterous. They were happy where they were, and didn't want drop their jobs for their only child.

[Kiyoshi Ngai]

Kiyoshi nodded, thinking along similar lines to his best friend. At the very least if they could get connected to the Floo Network it would not be so bad, but then he supposed that it would happen when it happened. Kiyoshi knocked when they reached the house and the door was opened by Kyo's father, who directed them towards the fireplace and wandered back off to the kitchen. Kiyoshi smiled at Akio and asked "You've done Floo Powder before, right?"

Akio wandered into the house after Kiyoshi, introducing himself and greeting everyone as he went along. When Kiyoshi asked if he had ever used the floo network before, Akio blushed. "Only once before.." He mumbled, and it hadn't turned out well, as he fell into the wrong fireplace.. But he figured this time would work well enough and he wasn't completely clueless as to what he had to do.

"Well, you know what to do right?" Kiyoshi asked, watching Akio rather carefully to see if the boy reacted in a way that suggested he was lying to move on. Kiyoshi didn't want Akio to get lost in the fireplace - that would certainly ruin their plans.

"Yeah. Step in and say the place we're going to.. Clearly.." Akio explained, he knew how to, he had just only done it once and so he was a bit embarrassed. Regardless, he cleared his throat and smiled. "But I'll let you go first, just so I can remind myself, exactly.." He nodded.

[Kiyoshi Ngai]

"You're sure you'll be okay?" Kiyoshi asked, watching Akio skeptically as he backed slowly into the fireplace. He was quite eager to be gone, but he knew that if Akio didn't get through the fireplace properly then the entire day would be ruined! Plus, he didn't want his friend to get lost!

"Yeah! I'm a warrior!" Akio punched the air, looking all dramatic like from one of those cartoons he watched ever so frequently. He knew he would be okay, he was just a little worried about what might happen if he didn't do it properly. But he was going to watch Kiyoshi do it first, so he would be perfectly fine! Right?

[Kiyoshi Ngai]

"Well, let's go then." Kiyoshi said, grabbing a handful of Floo Powder and throwing it into the fire as he shouted "Tengu Stadium!" disappearing in a roar of the fire and zooming through the intricate and zany floo network toward his destination.

Akio nodded, listening to Kiyoshi and then proceeded to step into the fireplace. He grabbed some floo powder and right after Kiyoshi stepped into the fireplace. He had to close his eyes and take a deep breath. "Tengu! Stadium!" He shouted, and in a flame he flew off into the chimney. Until finally he landed in the actual stadium, basically rolling out clumsily. Though quite proud of himself for having made it.

Kiyoshi was already waiting when Akio came tumbling out of the fireplace, catching the other boy by the crook of his elbow as the boy came rolling by. "What a fantastic exit." Kiyoshi said sarcastically, laughing at his friend. "At least you made it out though!" he added excitedly, looking at the crowds of witches and wizards milling around them.

Being caught, Akio laughed. "Well! Last time, didn't as well! So I'm glad I at least made it through!" Akio smiled at Kiyoshi and shook his head a little, before looking around the area. "This is.. this is great... Very exciting." He nodded, he was indeed, very if not incredibly excited. A QUIDDITCH game.

"Yeah totally!" Kiyoshi agreed, holding up their tickets as he said "Now come on, let's head inside and get to our seats!" The place where the two boys had arrived was not in fact the Stadium proper, but an arrival area for Witches and Wizards who came via apparation of floo powder.

Akio grinned when the other boy presented the tickets. "Yay!" He shouted and with his excitement proceeded to follow his best friend along, he had never been to a Quidditch game, this was a big deal for him.

Kiyoshi of course had been to a few Quidditch games since his brother had first gone pro, but only a very few - an he still had a very feverish excitement over them. He eagerly handed their tickets over to the man at the gate and almost dropped the stubs in his excitement to be going. "Here, keep it!" Kiyoshi said handing Akio's over to him. "The ticket stub of your first ever Quidditch match!"

Akio grabbed the ticket stub from Kiyoshi and nodded. "First ever." He stuffed into his pocket carefully, or as carefully as he could in his excitement and patted the pocket lightly and so he walked on into the seating areas with Kiyoshi. He didn't know what to do with himself. Sit, have some food? Look at the brochures, or watch the game intently. There was so much to do!
