"I know what you're talking about," Maddie giggled as she replied to what Laura had said about doing everything last minute. Oh, she sure was a master procastinator. Knowing that she'd never finish her schooling, the Gryffindor didn't see any use in putting a load of effort into school.

"I'd love to play professionally, yeah," the girl then responded, nodding her head. "When I'm older..." she added. Ah well, what was the use again? "You like Quidditch?"

"I like to watch" she said thinking of the last time she attempted to get on a broom "But playing the game is something I usually avoid. I cant even fly a broom"

Laura was terrified of flying and refused to ever get on a broom again. Her first flying class had proved to her that she really didn't like heights and every time she gets on a broom all she can think of is falling to her death. It was her personal belief that if she was meant to fly then she would have been born with wings. However, it didn't mean she didn't like to watch. The game was exciting and filled with thrills.

“Oh well, flying is the first thing you should be able to do when you want to play Quidditch,” Madeline said, with a friendly smile on her lips, laughing slightly. She didn’t mean to insult Laura or laugh about her, but it was a fact that you had to fly to play the sport. Maddie shrugged. “People who watch are really important, though. I mean, playing Quidditch is all fine and lovely and a great hobby. But if you think about the professional games, the teams and all, they’d be nothing without the fans! After all, it’s the fans who pay to watch the games and pay the equipment and everything by that,” she said, grinning widely at Laura.

Suddenly Laura felt a lot better at not being able to fly a broom. So what if she was never going to be a professional player? She would make an amazing fan! Fans are even more important than the team and Laura loved to be important. She grinned back at Madeline happily. Being important was all that Laura wanted from life though it was easier said than done. If she got lucky she could marry into the royal family and become a Lady or Dame of somewhere.

"Thanks" she sadi grinning "So other than professional quidditch, do you have any other plans for the future?"

Laura's question had Madeline chuckling bitterly, even if she tried to hide it with a sudden coughing fit. Maybe this behavior seemed a bit peculiar to the blond girl, but Maddie didn't really care. Or well, she did. In a way. It just wasn't easy to know you'd be dying so soon, at least not always.

"Well, no, not really. I mean, I'm young, so I'll just see how life goes and then decide. I hope there'll be some kind of plan inside my head when I'm done with my sixth year. Because then time will be limited," she said, aware of the fact that Laura wouldn't notice the deeper meaning of these words. It was true nonetheless - with her seventh year beginning, there wouldn't be much time left to think of a future career, for no senior.

"You would only have a year left to decide and then you will be out in the real world" she said not understanding what Madeline meant by her words "I think it's going to be scary, I don't want to grow up. I like being a kid"

Adults seemed to always be in a rush and stressed. Unlike most kids her age Laura was in no rush to grow up. Well, she was in no rush to become an adult. She did however want to be a teenager. When your a teenager everything is fun and although your treated like an adult you don't have the responsibilities.

Madeline smiled because of the words that Laura said, nodding her head. “I know, I don’t really want to grow older either. Being a child is the best thing about life, I think. I mean, when will you ever be as free as you are when you are as old as us?” She asked, smiling widely, her gaze floating off to the sky.
