Summer Holidays

It was finally done; Osiris Binx had finally been 'put down'. It wasn't suppose to happen tonight, but Osiris had over heard his three kids talking about when they would finally kill him and get him out of their lives for good. Osiris didn't confront all three of his children about this, he wasn't an idiot. Osiris decided to wait until he and his youngest were home alone and he confronted her. Michelle of course fought back, but naturally only being small and not having her wand as she was taken by surprise by this, she didn't get the upper hand once.

Luckily the twins had dropped by and walked in on the two in time before Osiris could hurt Binxy too much, or even kill her! Naturally the twins tortured and injured their father enough to make sure he couldn't fight back too much when Michelle could take over.

Michelle was now in control and had her wand, the twins had shown her a few spells, hexes and curses to use, and of course the moment she had used her first unforgivable, the twins knew they wouldn't have long as someone [or]/someone's would be heading straight for the home from the Ministry. Binxy had used the imperius curse first, and made her father hurt himself, she made him torture himself before she was given a knife from Johnny and got to finish the job herself... And just as she was about to use the killing the curse; The Binx siblings were interrupted by Aurors...

The twins duelled with the Aurors, Michelle was disarmed. In the end the twins had to leave, Johnny wanted to get Michelle but Nate wouldn't let him as they were out numbered and had no choice but to leave and come back for Michelle later... Or something! The twins disapparated leaving black smoke trailing behind as they done so.

Michelle having been disarmed had gone back for the knife Johnny had given her to torture her father with earlier in the night, she finally got rid of him in a gruesome manner with the knife. Which even though Binxy wanted to use the killing curse, she had come to the conclusion him dying like a muggle was more fitting for the Death Eater....

It was now just Michelle and a couple of Aurors, one Auror in particular was talking to Michelle [ Psst...! ]

River being that one I would think ;)

Binxy was just sat on the cold marble floor of her hall way, staring at her father's lifeless body and not speaking. She was cut and bleeding on her face and arms and had bruises appearing, she even has what looks like hand marks around her neck; all from when her father had started all of this. Binxy could hear a male voice trying to talk to her, but she was just lost in her own world....

He had seen many things in his time as an Auror, but even River had been shocked by the idea of a fifteen year old girl killing her father.

River had been in the office when the call came that an unforgivable had been used - and not only that, but that magic had been used by a child outside of school. The Aurors had left for the area, telling the department that dealt with under-age magic that they would deal with this one tonight, River being one of those among them. Still, there were only a couple of them; many of the Aurors had been dispatched for the sightings of Death Eaters, and this wasn't necessarily a high priority when there was so much going on recently. Still, River, who was one of the more experience Aurors, had been sent to see what was going on, and he had chosen his team members wisely.

Once the initial fight was over and the two Binx men had disapparated, River had nodded at two members of his team; they had disappeared to try and find the girl's brothers and bring them in for questioning. The rest were then covering the house, cleaning up and trying to figure out what had gone on. River then approached the girl. Even before he sat down, he knew who she was. She was a room-mate of his daughter, Billie's, at Hogwarts, which scared him slightly, but River had to put that past him; this was his job.

"Michelle?" She was just sitting there, next to her father's body. "Can you look at me?" Judging by the state of her appearance, River could tell that more had gone on her that the Aurors knew. They were going to have to get hold of some healers; she would have to be checked over. "I know this is a little bit of a shock for you, but you're going to have to come with us now. The men who were here have gone, otherwise they could come with you, if you'd have wanted." He spoke in a calm, soothing voice, trying to coax her to look at him. "We can take you to St Mungo's, if you want and then we'd like to have a word with you."

Slowly Michelle's head started to turn in the man's direction who was speaking to her, but her gaze stayed fixed on her father for a moment, though once her face was facing River completely, her gaze flicked to him and away from her father's body. Michelle stared at River silently for a moment, an empty look in her eyes and nothing readable on her face. "You're cute...." she said, her tone having nothing but blankness to it along with the look on her face, and in her eyes.

Hearing River say Michelle had to go with him, she shook her head a little and looked back to her father while saying "he'll be angry if I leave. I have to stay here and wait for him to wake up and give me my punishment". Binxy didn't think he was dead, she didn't think she was lucky enough for her father to actually be dead, to be gone from her life forever! She thought he was either faking it, or just unconscious or possibly just sleeping. He couldn't be dead.

St Mungo's, that was not something Michelle wanted to hear; she's always hated hospitals! All the blankness had gone from her face as she shot her head back round to River and was filled with panic. "No! I can't!" she shouted in protest while scooting back as fast as she could away from River. "I don't need to go there, I'm fine... I'm not hurt, don't make me go there!" Oh if only Michelle's favourite professor could see her now; Going to Mungo's, Harris would probably laugh knowing this day was going to come.

Binxy looked around taking in what River had said about how the men who were here have gone, she knew that was the twins he was talking about. "I know... It's best they left" she said honestly as she knew her brothers would get into a lot of trouble if they stuck around. "I would rather deal with all of this on my own, and them staying out of it. I don't want them to get into trouble" she said, and slowly the wheels in her head started to turn as an idea came to her.

Fake [but they seemed genuine] tears started to fall down Michelle's face. "They were only protecting me, I was only protecting myself.... He was trying to kill me... It was self defence!" she cried and even started to shake a little, she seemed in a right state. But it was all an act.......... Mostly.

River ignored the cute comment; this girl was messed up, although of course that wasn't something he'd say out loud, and definitely not something he'd say to her. But somehow, he felt sorry for her. There was pain here; he could feel it around him. There was something not right in this house. It was cold here, there was no love. It was... empty. It didn't feel right, and he wanted to get Michelle out of there as quickly as possible.

The Auror had done a lot in his time, of course. He'd had to tell a lot of people that their relatives had died. He wasn't sure what was worse - telling a mother that their daughter had died in an attack or telling this girl that their father wasn't going to wake up, and that she was safe. Clearly, she was scared, but what wasn't clear was how she would react. She was mental. "Michelle, I'd really prefer it if you were to come with me. He won't be angry, I promise." River didn't think this was the right time to tell her, but he was making his judgement based on the situation; if she still kicked up a fuss, then he'd have to tell her here and now, even though it grieved it to do so.

When Michelle started crying, River stepped forwards. "It's okay, I understand, and he won't hurt you now, I promise." He couldn't - Osiris Binx was dead. Michelle had killed him. The life had most definitely been drained from her father. "The thing is, I just want to make sure you're going to be okay now, Michelle. See, when he was hurting you, he left some marks. I want to make sure those marks aren't permanent and I'd rather they were checked over. So could you please come with me?"

Michelle could see the damage her father had done on her arms and body but the damage on her face she wasn't able to see of course, she couldn't even feel the pain of the damage, she felt perfectly fine.... Physically anyway. "But, I feel fine" she said to River, now allowing her tears to slowly stop. "I-... I should probably go while you sort my father out, and I can find my brothers" she suggested while nodding her head to agree with her own suggestion.

Michelle started to stagger to her feet and said "I need to find them, I need my brothers..... I need them! I need Johnny!" she shouted now crying again, only this time she was being genuine with her tears as she wanted Johnny. "They'll lock me up in there, I know it! Professor Harris knew this would happen! Mungo's will never let me go! I can't go there for just to be checked out.... They should come here!"

Michelle figured even if she were checked over in her home and people at Mungo's found something mentally wrong with her where she had to stay at Mungo's, she could fight them on it and win in her own home. She felt safer in her own home than she did in the hospital; as bad a choice a word 'safe' is considering the kind of life the girl has lived here with her father. But Michelle felt if she had to fight, run or something, she'd stand a better chance on winning/getting away if it were in the Binx home; she knows her surroundings better.

River sighed. He wanted to make sure Michelle felt as comfortable as possible right now, and he knew that he only really had one choice in this matter; if she wasn't going to willingly come, he couldn't force her. He glanced towards a colleague and nodded once; they understood what he was asking of them simply with that one look. "Okay, Michelle. We'll stay here and a healer will come out to treat you, is that alright?"

The thing was, he couldn't let her go wandering off now. She quite obviously wanted to leave. Thankfully, she had given them the names of one of her brothers - or at least, a name that River assumed to be her brother, which would help them in their enquiries. However, that would be dealt with by some of the other Aurors; River was dealing with the scene of the 'crime' and whatever was going on here.

"My colleagues are going to floo some of the Healers, and they'll come here to check you over." He wasn't sure what to say to her about being taken away; he wasn't entirely sure where she would stay now that her father was dead. He didn't deal with child protection - it was dealt with under a different part of the Ministry and it was all legal proceedings that River didn't want to start thinking about. "Michelle, can we go into a different room, perhaps? So that you can be away from your father when the Healers get here?"

Hearing Michelle didn't have to go to Mungo's had made her relax a little, though, she couldn't help but let her eyes glance around the room looking to see where her wand had gone when she was disarmed earlier. Even though she was a little calmer and she knew she didn't have to leave her home, it was still good to know where her wand was, just in case.....

The entire time Michelle's gaze was slowly scanning around the hall she remained silent, she said nothing and just let River's words go through one ear and out the other. That was, until he mentioned going into another room. Snapping out of her aim to find her wand, Michelle looked back to River.

Michelle stared at River silently for a moment, it probably seemed like she wasn't going to answer him, that she was just staring at him as if his question was stupid or something, but really she was thinking what room she wanted to go to.

Typical Binxy would have said her own room and thrown some flirty, minxy, pervy comment to go with her suggestion to River. But seeing as she wanted to just get all this over with, she went with a serious answer; "The living room is through there" she said while motioning with her head across the hall to a large, dark wooden door.

Michelle had no luck in trying to spot her wand, so while hugging her arms tightly around herself, she made her way to the living room. Once in the living room all Binxy did was pace back and forth in front of the huge window while muttering something lowly under her breath; something about her brothers, Misty's name was muttered and something about a dagger.

River watched Michelle glance around the room with a glazed look on her face, wishing there was some way to pull her back from her daydreams. However, he didn't want to in case this was all part of some sort of healing process so he just let her be, waiting for her to answer on her own terms and wait for the Healers to decide instead what was best for her psychological state when they finally arrived.

Then she finally told him where to go. He wanted to praise merlin right there and then for the fact that she answered. He simply nodded and gave her and soft, encouraging smile. "After you," he told her and then followed her into the room.

He felt like he should sit so that he didn't intimidate her, but he didn't want to do that without being invited and standing would give him the advantage if she tried anything in the form of running away, particularly as she was pacing. So instead of sitting, he leaned casually against the wall, close enough to the door so that he could block her if she ran but not enough so that she could see he was watching her.

This was what he did though, feeling like a babysitter as he waited for the Healers to arrive, watching her pace back and forth and mutter to herself, whilst his colleagues sorted out her father and got onto the case of the 'missing brothers.'

Dermot was a busy man, he had better things to do (or so he felt) then to be going into work once again after his shift had ended because nothing but interns were left and a call had been made to St. Mungo's and in a wild attempt to respond the interns all called for Dermot. Being a Healer-in-Charge was no easy task. Regardless, he arrived at St. Mungo's and was almost immediately floo'd over to a house he had never been to before.

A few of the Auror's briefed him on the situation, and he sighed. Motioned towards the living room, Dermot moved in. He looked bored, perhaps a little annoyed, but calm. He noticed the girl, pacing, obviously the victim and then the calm Auror right by the door. "Michelle Binx." Dermot uttered, he didn't know the girl, but he had been told who she was and what had happened and so he used her name for the sake of comfort.

He wandered over to the couch, patted a seat, and then sat down himself. He was a bit lazy, "Please sit down, dear.." He put on a fake voice and a fake smile to try and coax her into behaving and doing as he said. He just needed her to be calm, so he could check her over very quickly and leave.

Shel, hope you don't mind me posting first, just that I wanted to get River out the way now because I'm leaving tomorrow for my holiday :3 so, yeah, continue to post then if it's still going when I get back, I can possibly jump back in :)

River tapped his foot on the floor, watching Michelle, his head buzzing with the noise of her constant muttering. He was curious to know what she was thinking so much about but then again, after what had happened here tonight, he wasn't sure he wanted to find out. So instead he continued to watch her calmly, feeling the relief wash over him when the Healer entered the room. "Healer Haines," he greeted, with a nod and a small smile.

No doubt he had been briefed on what was going on here; the Auror team were usually very good at keeping anybody else up to date when they arrived on the scene. River threw a glance towards his charge. "Michelle, the healer will talk to you about what happened tonight and take a look at those nasty bruises around your throat, I'm sure." River didn't like the way they were colouring. "I'm going to step outside for now, okay? It will give a chance to speak to him in private and I need to do some of my own work."

He walked over to her. "Will you do as he says for me?" He smiled at her. "I'll probably see you later, when I've finished my enquiries." Giving one last look at Michelle, then nodding at the healer, he left the room.

Michelle continued to pace slowly by the window having no idea a healer had arrived. She continued to mutter things to herself, and only stopped when she heard another male voice speak to her. The pacing though, that continued while she fixed her stare over to the healer. However, when River approached Michelle her gaze went to him, and her pacing finally stopped.

Binxy wasn't going to go over to Dermot at first, sure he seemed nice enough, calm enough and like a trusting Healer. But he's still from that retched Hospital all the same which made Michelle not want to go over. But when River asked, well, how could she refuse the cute Auror!? With a simple nod of her head to agree to what River had said, she watched him leave, then looked back over to Dermot.

Michelle did agree to this after all, though, that was only so she could hopefully make a run for it if things started to get uncomfortable for her. But still, she agreed to be checked over and to talk to a Healer, so she hesitantly walked over to the sofa, then sat herself down on the edge of her seat. "Is this going to hurt?" she asked over the check over, while tilting her head to the side in a curious manner. Michelle didn't care if being checked over would hurt her or not, she just liked to knowing what to expect.

"You know, I'm fine, really, you don't have to waste your time" she added while letting her gaze wander around the living room. She really didn't want to be checked over, she didn't want a healer touching her and most likely trying to take her to the hospital! She needed her wand! But that was out in the hall way somewhere, so she needed a weapon. The dagger she used on her father was in the hall way too!

You really can't catch a break, can you? One of the voices in Michelle's head said to her, and of course, Binxy replied out loud to it. "No, I really can't! I'm sick of this! I'll just use a poker by the fireplace if I have to....."

Dermot waited for the girl to sit down, and wonderfully enough she did once the Auror left. Good, at least he had her convinced. When she inquired if it was going to hurt, Dermot shook his head. "No. It won't hurt, I just need to look you over very quickly." He mentioned, he had a tendency to avoid causing people any pain, having seen it enough at the hospital he didn't need to cause this young girl anymore of it and so he would look her over in a most painless manner, however with her seated he did notice the bruises and they were getting rather nasty. The first thing that Dermot would do would look them over.

"I'm sure you're fine, but this is just normal protocol when things like this happen, a healer gets called over, and you get a quick ch-" He would have continued if it wasn't for the fact that the girl suddenly lashed out and yelled, he wasn't sure what she was yelling at, and he blinked a bit confused.

"Hmm..." This was abnormal, and that was known to any doctor. Regardless he wouldn't say anything quite yet, just something he would keep to himself for now as he moved her hair out of the way and looked and tapped her bruises a little. "Could you tell me how you got these?" He asked quietly.

Michelle's gaze wandered off around the living room and away from Dermot as she listened to one of the voices in her head reply back to her comment over using the poker if she needed to, she'd done this while Dermot was looking the bruises over. Her attention only went back to Dermot when he'd asked how the bruises were caused.

Slowly Michelle turned her gaze back to Dermot, and replied "my father made them". Most people in Michelle's situation would probably get a little upset while explaining what has happened to them, but Binxy didn't seem upset, far from it. More than anything she just looked and sounded a little like her mind was somewhere else, it was like a bored child's mind had wandered off to find something more interesting to focus on.

Half of Michelle's mind was trying to stay focused on Dermot, then the other half was split between trying to ignore the voices in her head, and trying to block out all the bad feelings one would get for killing another person. Blocking out the negative emotions over killing another human was turning out to be the easiest thing for the Slytherin to do -probably not a good thing-, but the rest of it was proving to be difficult.

"I suppose I have to tell you how he made them, don't I?" she asked with her tone sounding rather normal and fine, considering what had gone on here that was probably not a good thing..... "The ones on my neck were caused from him choking me" she said while keep her gaze to Dermot. It might have been quite clear Osiris Binx had intended to do more than just scare Michelle with a little throttle, from the marks caused from the pressure it might have been obvious killing Michelle was her father's intentions.....

To the shiner just on Michelle's right cheek bone, she replied while motioning to her face "he hit me here..."
While pointing to her left thigh to point out another bruise, she said "he kicked me here...."
Next Michelle lifted her crap up to show her stomach which was showing a long gash going across, and more bruising on her ribs. "And he kicked me here (ribs of course,) and with the dagger that's in the hall way he used that to do this" she finished while pointing out the gash on her stomach.

The gash wasn't deep enough to have caused too much damage, the twins had burst in and took control before too much damage there had happened.

Dermot listened, and looked over the girl as she explained all of the bruises and such. He bit down on his lower lip, she wasn't healthy. Those bruises would have caused severe damage to many of her vital organs, and she might have lost a bit of her own sanity from the lack of oxygen that she would have needed to breath from the choking she received from her own father. And his kids thought that he was bad, they should meet this girl, and her well, her now dead father. How wonderful. Dermot would have rolled his eyes, and tried to move on, but this was an absolute mess.

He sighed, he could get rid of the bruises with a bit of potion, and close up the stomach wound with some wand-work, but what about the girls mental state? She was, well.. Too calm for just having killed her own father. It was a bit unnerving, but he would have to figure out how to approach this without freaking her out.

However, first, he would fix her wounds and bruises.

With Dermot looking the wounds and bruises over Michelle naturally wanted to winch whenever they were touched as they did hurt still, but she managed to hold the urge back easily, more so as something had slithered into her mind as she watched the Healer look the bruises and wounds over; she wondered if he's a father.

Keeping her interest and gaze locked on Dermot, Michelle asked "do you have children?" He seemed like he could be old enough to have a child or two of his own. She was just going to presume Dermot does indeed have children of his own, and with her doing so she continued to speak. "I would say as a guess you do. How old are they?" she asked keeping her same nonchalant, not-bothered, calm and normal posture and tone going.

Dermot looked up to the girl briefly and nodded, "Yes I do.." He spoke quietly, he wouldn't be able to get rid of the bruises yet, but with a bit of wand-work her gash would soon be gone. "Three, one is a graduate of Hogwarts, and the other two are still in Hogwarts... Perhaps you know them.. Quincy and Aengus..." He trailed, he didn't care to talk about his kids on the job. They weren't that important in all honesty.

"Quincy?" There was only one Quincy Michelle knew in Hogwarts, and that was Quincy Haines in her house! "I know Quincy, she's in my house, and my year too". Binxy didn't know her fellow Slytherin very well, they probably had only ever spoke once in the five years they'd been in Hogwarts together. But Michelle defiantly knew the girl.

"Are you close with your children? Or what about with Quincy at least, are you close with your daughter?" Michelle always got curious over other father and daughter relationships, she often wondered what normal father and daughter relationships were like, and often wondered if any other girls had relationships with their own father's the way Michelle had with hers.

"Yes, Quincy.." He shrugged, he was Doctor Haines and that was obvious, though not so obvious to the girl in front of him. He wasn't particularly close to any of his children, not even the oldest one who had begged for attention for years and all Doctor Haines did was just move on with his life. He didn't care enough, in all honesty. He was too tired, too lazy to care for his children, even though he cared and loved them dearly.

When she asked whether he was close to his daughter he shrugged, "Not any closer then the other two boys.." He uttered, which meant, not really at all. He didn't want to get close to his children, nor did he have the time, he was too busy trying to feed them and pay for the house, to spend time with them.

He continued his check up on the girl.

I bet he's really close to his daughter, he just doesn't want to make you feel bad, a voice in her head said, which hearing those words made Michelle frown a little. "Maybe...Maybe not." she muttered her reply to the voice aloud, then went silent watching as Dermot continued with the check up.

As Michelle continued to watch Dermot, another thought came into her head; "Are they close with their mother?.... Are you married?" she asked then slowly let her eyes wander down to the hand that would usually wear a ring to indicate that someone is married.

Dermot noticed her muttering, and took note of it. There would definitely need to be a team of people who just need to come in and commit her to the hospital, even if for a little while. He needed to know what was wrong with her, and she needed to be put through a few more tests so that they can decide on everything. But he wouldn't tell the girl right now.

"I don't think they are close to their mother either, yes.. I am married." He muttered, he was just muttering to the girl, answering to keep her satisfied.

[River Parker]

Having been speaking to the Aurors and social services about various issues that needed to be dealt with - where Michelle would stay if Dermot deemed she was fit and healthy, where her brothers had been tracked to (there were a few leads, but they hadn't been found yet) and other business that he had to see to, seeing as he was overlooking the whole thing, River had pretty much made his way around the entire house and grounds. He'd spoken to a lot of people; many had confirmed the same thing. Michelle Binx was not a loved child by her father. It was obvious, from the bruises around her neck, to the house she lived in, to the dead body of her father. You'd only had to step in the house to see that, but it was becoming more and more obvious - in a disturbing way - as River spoke to his colleagues.

And surely, that had to leave an impact on the girl? River thought back to his own daughter, remembering how she had reacted when their relationship had fallen apart. He sighed. Maybe it was time he returned to Michelle and Healer Haines.

He hesitated as he walked back towards the room that they were in and carefully knocked on the door. "Healer Haines, Michelle," he greeted, nodding at them both. "How's the check up going, Michelle?" He directed this question at the girl, hoping that speaking with the girl directly would give her a sense of importance, something he doubted her father had ever given her. He would perhaps speak with the Healer in private, depending on how delicate the Healer believe the issue was.

"Well, I think your children are lucky, even if you and your wife aren't close with them. They have two parents who love them, and that's important" she said while letting her gaze slowly wandering around the room as Haines continued his work.

As Michelle's gaze kept on wandering around the room, her gaze slowly started to get that vacant look in her eyes again, the same look when River first approached her by her father's lifeless body. However, when River had entered the room again and had spoken to Michelle, her attention snapped to him, and life started to come back to her eyes, along with a happy smile.

"I think it's going well..." she replied over the check up, of course having no idea what Dermot has been thinking over her being committed. "I'm hoping it's nearly finished though, I would like to go to bed soon, I'm rather tired" she added, honestly believing she was going to be able to just go up stairs soon and go to bed!

Dermot cleared his throat and nodded, "Right.." He looked over the girl for a moment, his eyes looking over her silently, he jumped a little when River walked in, looking over to the other man now. He cleared his throat, smiling very briefly over to Michelle. "Yes, very well..." He lied, he was basically done, he didn't need to know much more and so he stood up and walked over to River.

"May I talk to you in private?" He asked, though whispering so that Michelle may not hear him.

[River Parker]

River smiled at Michelle. "I'm glad to hear that," he told her. "Well, I'd like to talk to you in a few minutes, so do you mind just waiting here a second?" He glanced towards the hallway and caught the eye of a colleague. Beckoning them into the room, he quietly explained the situation. "Keep an eye on her whilst I speak to the Healer. If she makes a run, call back-up, but she should hopefully be okay." He nodded to them. He didn't know whether Michelle would be able to sleep soon, so did not make her any promises, but glanced towards the Healer. He was curious to know what Dermot had to say about the girl and what would happen now.

"Michelle, we'll be back in a second, this is Ellie though. You can talk to her if you like." He nodded to the Healer and lead the way out into the hallway, shutting the door behind him. Ellie was left alone with Michelle and River walked a little way away from the room, making sure Michelle couldn't here. "How did it go?" he asked, making sure he was out of earshot of anyone else.

A woman, oh this would be interesting. Michelle being left alone with a woman she doesn't know.... Now to grab the poker by the fireplace undetected, that was Binxy's new challenge for the evening.

When Michelle was left alone with the woman, a look appeared in the young girl's eyes, a look that didn't exactly say; I'm the sweetest, nicest girl you shall ever meet, you really will love being alone with me..... What appeared in the Slytherin girl's eyes was something rather disturbing, filled with such hate and malice.

With the other men having their conversation in private, Michelle got up and slowly and casually made her way around the living room, she was too fixed on trying to get the poker to attack the woman in the room with her to have even wondered what the two men were possibly talking about.

Sadly, for Michelle, she was being watched too closely and it was proving to be quite difficult to get the iron poker without the woman seeing.

"I don't like women...." she said while stopping at the side of the un-lit fireplace and leaning backward against the wall. "You're all very un-trusting, especially ones like you" she said, not being clear what kind of woman it was she was referring to when she told the woman 'especially ones like you'. Binxy had meant the do-gooder ones, the ones who follow the rules and love to do right by the law.

Aww, if Daddy was alive to see just how much his daughter hates women like him and the rest of the Binx men, he might just actually feel a teeny bit proud for the daughter he hated so much. Michelle -in a casual manner- picked the poker up and started to examine it over, it didn't seem like she was planning to do anything naughty, simply being curious and keeping herself occupied with the poker.....
