Marcus, as a boy, was always wearing his clothing properly, tidily, and as such, at his time at Hogwarts he is usually seen in full uniform, including his pointed hat and wizard's robes. He has wavy black hair which he would neatly swoop to the side on the top of his head beneath his hat. His eyes are a rather dark brown, nearly black, and he tends to stare fiercely at people when he so feels like it. He has always been tall, taller than most other boys as a youth and standing at 6'4 as an adult. He is rather intimidating to many in this way.
Personality:
Marcus is a respectable man, and highly intelligent. He has proper manners and obeys the rules. His biggest goal and intention in life is to be respected and have a good reputation. He desires also to marry, have four children, find a well-paying job and establish a comfortable household. His only true vice is the sport of Quidditch, which he follows regularly and even played reserve for a three years on the Ravenclaw house team during his time at school. His attention to rules and order earned him position of Prefect at Hogwarts. He expects things to be done properly and ordinarily. He looks down upon those who seek attention and break the rules.

Personal History:
Marcus, as a young boy, grew up in London and was taught privately by tutors with his younger brother, Alan. The brothers were competitive, but still very close. Marcus received his Hogwarts letter in the appropriate time and began attending school there in the year '86.
Two years into Marcus's magical education, Alan was supposed to receive his Hogwarts letter; however, one never came, and it was eventually revealed to the boys' parents that Alan did not possess any magical powers. Any signs they'd thought to have seen in him were tricks to the eye or young Marcus's doing. Marcus was very crushed at the news that his brother wouldn't be able to join him at Hogwarts, and that he would never be able to accomplish anything in his life (for Marcus thought rather blandly of Muggles and Squibs).
Marcus thought he might be able to find some way to "restore his rightful powers"; he spent a lot of time in the library doing research on the subject. However, when he approached Alan about this, his brother would just dismiss his wild theories, informing him that he didn't need magic; he was content the way he was.
How could someone be so content to be ordinary? Marcus couldn't understand it, and so he and Alan drifted apart.
In Marcus's 5th year, he became a prefect of the Ravenclaw house, a position he most enjoyed, for he was constantly seeking to improve the order of things around him. It was ironic, how the brother known to be a part of the most mundane, ordinary Muggle world had much more ease of spirit and carelessness than the brother who lived in an unusual, surprising world of magic.
In the summer of 1991, tragedy struck Marcus's life when 14-year-old Alan was killed in a motorcycle accident one rainy evening. The loss of his brother, his closest friend, hit Marcus harder than anything else ever would. He felt only reaffirmed in his belief that order and control and safety were the only way to live one's life.
In Marcus's 6th year, Harry Potter began attending school. However, Marcus did not interact with the boy and his friends; they were all too odd and had a tendency for trouble, which Marcus disliked quite a lot. (He also felt this way about the entire Weasley family, except Percy. He rather liked Percy.)
Marcus passed all of his OWLs with an E or higher, and achieved NEWTs for Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, Ancient Runes, and Herbology. He immediately entered into a intern-level position in the International Affairs office, and continued climbing the heirarchical ladder, eventually becoming the Head of Department of International Magical Cooperation later in life.
He began dating Anita White, a recent Ravenclaw grad herself, in the summer of 1996. They dated for six months before engagement, and were married on March 30th, 1999.(he was 23, she was 20)
Their first child, Patrick, was born in 2000, Samara in 2005, and Elysia (a squib) in 2010.
When it was discovered that Elysia was born without magic, Marcus was heavily reminded of his brother Alan. He also blamed himself for passing along the "squib gene", and is reminded of this often. He adores his youngest daughter, a lot more so than his middle one, who is everything Marcus stands against. He spoils Elysia and strives to make her life a lot easier to make up for her lack of magical ability.
Marcus disowned Samara for her reckless behavior, and for her heartbreaking exit from her parents' lives. Hopefully someday they can rekindle their relationship.
