APPEARANCE

This middle-aged but woman stands at a reasonable height of five foot seven inches with weight evenly distributed throughout her body. She seems to be plainly average, not at all calling for attention, and though to some she may seem attractive she would have a hard time agreeing with their statements. Camellia has beautiful and striking blue eyes, though not cold and instead full of radiance and joyful emotions about the world surrounding her. Her dark brown hair though messy and often times unbrushed falls in waves down to her shoulders. There is something odd about the way she carries herself, and it would be easily seen through the dirt stuck in her fingernails. One might ask why, but it is clear as day that she is a herbologist a very good one at that.

PERSONALITY

A quiet person – normally reserved and kept to herself. Though she is knowledgeable and nice when spoken to, she’s not normally one to start a conversation. She’s not the best of teachers because she doesn’t have the best ability to keep the class in line at all times. Her only real hobbies are herbology and reading. She reads to learn more about plants, and she works with them to learn more. She's always interested in working with one she has never seen. The violent plants interest her the most

PAST

With a muggle father and a witch mother, life was definitely interesting. Her mother was a bright ray of happy sunshine. She wooed her to-be husband easily and quickly. They still have a great love to this day, years later. But, Mr. Evans’ family was never really…appreciative. They always found Camellia’s mother, Arella, strange and not right in the head. They were never sure about the ‘magic’ idea or how she carried her life because of it. Her muggle father's family shunned the Evans, so she's never met any of her father's kin. Camellia’s father, Greg, sold insurance all his life – and still does.

Arella had always had a love of plants and gave that to her only daughter by having an elaborate garden in the backyard. Arella spent a lot of time trying to teach her daughter everything she knew about caring for plants from a young age. She had the three-year-old girl pulling up weeds and popping bubotuber's spots so her mother could sell acne-vaninshing cream. Now, her mother runs a natural foods store in a small country town in England and makes a good living selling natural supplements she makes from the garden.

While in Hogwarts, she had few friends. She did make a couple that she kept in written touch with, but she went off to study magical plant life in the rainforest not long after graduation as a sort of internship. The trip caused her to be terribly homesick - so, when she returned, she just went home. She knew and loved the garden there. Her mother let her build a greenhouse so she could test-grow some of the seeds she returned with. After a number of years of just toiling in her back greenhouse, publishing papers about the newly found plants and working with her mother, she received a letter stating Hogwarts' interest in hiring her for the Herbology department. She saw it as a new foray into plants - and possibly a way to meet new ones. She happily accepted.
