There's Safety Within These Walls [November 1997]

[Kirsa Fitzroy]

"Um," Kirsa smirked slightly and shook her head, "I quite like Kirsa, thank you."

Though she couldn't resist adding a touch mischievously, "Could do with a pen name though."

[Reed Wintersprout]

"Yeah it'd be an excellent pen name," Reed grinned. "Xanthippilios Fitzroy," he said, to see what it sounded like. "Sounds awesome."

[Kirsa Fitzroy]

"Yeah, and I'm sure you'll be my greatest fan for just the sake of that pen name," Kirsa continued jesting as if to poke fun at Reed. Entertainment was rare at these times after all and had to be savoured.

[Reed Wintersprout]

"Yup, I'll buy all of your work," Reed laughed. He then realized what he was doing, hanging out with Jeremey's girlfriend without Jer there. Where was he, anyway?

"Hey, do you think we should try and find Jeremey?" Reed asked. He didn't want the Carrows to get him again.

[Kirsa Fitzroy]

Kirsa reflexively glanced a touch concernedly towards the portrait entrance at Reed's suggestion, abruptly distracted by the conversation at the mention of her boyfriend.

"You don't think he got himself into trouble?" she asked quietly with a light frown, searching her own mind for any mention of some sort of mission. Unless Jeremey had opted not to inform her.. yet why would he not?

[Reed Wintersprout]

"I hope not, but you know what he's been like, lately," Reed had a concerned look on his face, he really did care for his friend. "Maybe we could check the Room of Requirement?"

[Kirsa Fitzroy]

There was not a single heartbeat wasted for Kirsa to nod and immediately begin to rise to her feet, so abruptly that she'd almost forgotten all about her crayons. Of course, she quickly amended that by waving her wand at them so that they flew back into the box, which enveloped itself into her bag.

"Let's go then," she announced, clearly rather worried about Jeremey's well-being.

[Reed Wintersprout]

Reed nodded, understanding what Kirsa felt at that moment. He wasn't sure what he would do if something else had happened to Jeremey, and it was tough not being able to do anything about it.

As they exited the common room, Reed found himself thinking about how lucky Jer was, finding someone who cared about him as much as Kirsa did.
