Appearance:
Ilsa is dark blonde with a reddish tint to her hair. She stands at 5’6’’ tall and has an average weight for a girl her age that is still going through a growth spurt. She has grey eyes that seem lifeless at times when she enters into her own little fantasy world within her mind. She has a few scars on her body from falling off a broom or out of the treehouse a few times (things do happen when you get into a fight with your older sisters).
When she is not in school she wears jeans or a shirt but in school she typically wears her Durmstrang uniform. Years ago at home she’d dress up in a ratty old gown that her older sister bought her one Christmas years ago. Now she wears whatever she can to accentuate her looks, whether it be her grey eyes or hair.
Personality:
The biggest thing that defines Ilsa is that she is a dreamer. She is always seen with a glazed over look as though she was somewhere else. She has a difficult time paying attention to things, as she is too busy living in her own mind. Due to this, she is not the type of person to take action in her life.
Her courses usually end up being on the back burner as she would pick daydreaming or listening to the gossip going on around her. The lives of others never ceases to amaze her and can be much more interesting at times than her own fantasy world that she created in her head. It’s due to this that she probably is the biggest gossip queen or at least has the most knowledge of what is actually going on socially at Durmstrang.
She is a sweet girl, but when she first started at Durmstrang, a lot of people were put off by her dreamy personality. As she has grown older, she has managed to gain a few close friends that she has become loyal to. If she considers you a close friend of hers, she would do just about anything for that person. This could be due to the fact that her parents and family at times do not fully understand her dreamy personality. They have distanced themselves from Ilsa over the years and created quite a rift as she really does not feel all too much in common with them.
The flip side to this dreamy personality is that she does have a bit of a German temper much like the rest of her family. It’s a bit of a Hirschenwald trait. She can be quite unforgiving if someone has done something nasty to her or if their personality conflicts with hers have a short temper with them. She does not really have much of a long fuse when it comes to that temper of hers, but she has managed to get it under control a little bit over the years. When she was younger, she would throw temper tantrums but she has since grown out of those.

History/Past:
Ilsa Hirschenwald was born on November 17th near Freiburg. Her oldest sister immediately bonded with her youngest sibling, as she was able to play dress up with her youngest sister (basically forcing little Ilsa into whatever clothing she wanted her to wear). There are quite a few pictures of little Klarissa pushing about her little sister in her fake baby carriage while playing house. Klari was around 9 years old when her youngest sister was born.
Eventually, Klarissa would be off to school at Durmstrang in Norway. When she was home, Ilsa tried to have as much fun as she could and that was when Klarissa began creating a make believe world for her younger sisters to pass the time when she was out of school. Ilsa soaked it in and became obsessed with this make believe world that they discussed and created stories about in their tree house. Alas, Klarissa is much older now and working on making it through her own career as a gossip column writer. Ilsa continues to live in this fantasy world on her own and sometimes Klarissa would jump in for fun when she has the free time to keep the connection with Ilsa but Ilsa’s other sister has long since passed on the world and found Quidditch.
Ilsa eventually went through the interview process for Durmstrang, it was her Hirschenwald last name that got her in as they had been a strong pure-blood family. She was able to easily cast the spell, much to her parents glee. She was rather excited about this since it meant a new place and she heard it was a castle. Also, she was taught at home and the whole idea of going to a school away from home only made her even more excited. Now going into her 4th year, Ilsa is still the girl she was when she entered into Durmstrang, a dreamer. Rumor has reached her ears that her one cousin is going to apply for a position as a professor at her school. She is quite unhappy with this event as she knows it would only force her to improve her grades as she knows this certain cousin always had a gift for pushing her to her limits.
As her sixth year began, the dreaminess of her personality begins to fade from the girl as the reality of the world came rushing in. It seems her dreams of becoming a famous writer would not happen overnight and a job in the German Ministry would more than likely be in the books. She's still a day dreamer, though her fantasies of knights and princesses has begun to fade into something quite different.
