Germany had always been a dire importance in her life. From the summers since birth, the months would have concluded of nothing but visiting Germany, trailing along the paths of namely Munich, Berlin and Frankfurt (the former more often visited). Family and friends still resided upon each town and the Dieter's were prosperous with connections. The Schwarz for instance, who had been a good old family friend for some decades now. It seemed that babysitting their child every summer was the only example of Lia's childhood social interaction, something her parents didn't find fearful or embarrassing. It of course, had been a connection of shock when word came out that muggle child Zak had been transformed into a vampire of recent.
But Ofelia was understanding, sympathetic to even the most brutal of creatures and she couldn't just let all connections hither after one unfortunate event. So the girl had traveled to Frankfurt via train, hopeful of another run in with the child she had always known as the boy whom she would have looked after during the summer months. It was dark by the time she arrived, the moon a thin crescent upon the cloudy sky. Lia had sent a letter to Zak a week earlier, telling him to meet her by the playground close to his former house- a place that she would often bring him to when he was a toddler.
She liked Zak, he was a pleasant boy and the years around him had caused her to view him as something along the lines of a brother. So it was that of upmost importance that brought Lia into a dodgy playground at the dead of night to visit a vampire. But of course, Zak wasn't a vampire... not to her. He was just Zak- sweet Zak. Ofelia situated herself upon a swing, her eyes adjusting to the darkness. Hopefully he wouldn't be long, nighttime always caused the squib to act edgy. But even more hopefully, she hoped that he would arrive altogether.
