Never A Boring Night At fallout [New York, New York]

Postby Gideionn Puckett » Wed Jan 18, 2012 8:05 pm

Fallout was pretty busy. Being a nighttime, the crowd in the club was growing. They never seemed to die out on the weekends, which tended to start on Wednesday. Most of the college crowd began to wander in starting on Thursday, with the height of the college age members peeking on Saturday night. They were there to dance and have fun, and who was Trey to deny them that? He was there to make sure his club was open and nothing was going wrong with it.

Currently Trey was dressed in dark blue jeans and a button up, short sleeve black shirt. Usually dress shoes were his thing, as he didn't do much traveling outside of the hidden staircases to make sure all three sections of his club were running smoothly. But today was different. Today the owner of the nightclub was in sneakers. Wearing the traditional glowsticks that everyone was given to make the middle level of fallout a fun club feeling, Gideionn blended right in. He was, after all, about the age as many visiting his club. Both wrists held three glow sticks each while two glowstick necklaces dangled around his neck. If there was one thing that Trey never regretted bringing to fallout it was the glowsticks. Everyone seemed to enjoy them.

Trey needed a bit of a break. It was hot inside, mostly due to the amount of people dancing usually tended to kick up a lot of body heat. He made his way through the crowd, with a couple "excuse me"s and "I'm sorry"s until he finally reached the main entrance to the main floor. He pushed open the door, flashing a smile at the bouncer and glancing at the line. He slightly wondered when the crowd would stop arriving, but his thoughts were side tracked by a voice in line that was slightly complaining about the wait. He couldn't help but chuckle as he shared a laugh with the bouncer while he let people in. Tucking his hands into his pocket, Gideionn set out to see how exactly how long the line was. He nearly whistled at the length of the line before wandering back to the entrance. With a nod to the bouncer, he wandered in. Following a woman who didn't seem like she was 21.

"Excuse me, have you been to fallout before?" He tapped her on the shoulder. He tugged off one of his glowstick necklaces and placed it around her's. "Here. You fit in better."

Elizabeth was waiting in line at a night club in New York, of all places. She was on a mini-vacation, of sorts. Her friends had all decided to drive to New York as soon as school got out on Friday, and stay in the city until Sunday. It was Saturday night, though, and the group she was with was determined to get in to a nightclub and party until they were thrown out. Eliza wasn't going to object to that, even if she wasn't particularly inclined to go to a club. If her friends were doing it, then she would go along for the time being.

Of course, getting into the club was going to be the challenge. She was nowhere near 21, even though she looked a tiny bit older than her age. Eliza had gotten a fake ID from one of her friends before they left to head to the club, but she had absolutely no clue where it had come from. The girl had put on slim jeans and a white long sleeve shirt that was layered with a loose, lacy purple shirt, as well as plenty of makeup, in an attempt to look more mature than what she usually did. While she waited in line, she played with the plastic card, not at all concerned about whether she'd get past the bouncer and be let inside or not. It didn't matter to the seventeen year old either way.

Somehow, though, she did get in, and looked around the place with an amused expression. There was a lot to take in, from the large crowd of people, to the muted lights of the glowsticks everyone was wearing, to the noise. Eliza was a little caught off guard by everything. So, when there was a tap on her shoulder, she jumped a little bit. The girl turned to see a man, who addressed her and put one of his own glowsticks around her neck.

With a half smile, she replied, "No, actually. I'm from out of town, just up here visiting with some friends and I was told this was the place to be on a Saturday night." Eliza turned to motion towards her group that was standing close by her, but she saw that they had already left, dispersing into the crowds of people. So they had left her, by herself in an unfamiliar club. "Thanks. This place is pretty bangin' actually. I take it you come here often, or something?"

Trey loved hearing that were new people always coming to the club, especially those from out of town. Mainly he ran into regulars. Most were from New York City or worked in the City from surrounding areas. There tended to be too many people entered the club for him to keep track of, especially since the club was two dance clubs and a meeting lounge all in one. Nothing could beat fallout, or so the rumors went.

"It's the place to be all weekend long," Gideionn laughed a little bit. It was true though, the club was always full all weekend long. "With there being so many colleges here in New York City, there's always so many different types of people coming through the doors." He smiled. Some people could be trouble and some weren't. It was rare for there to ever be fights though, so the bouncers really just got to enjoy the music and get paid to stand around.

Trey nodded when she asked if he came here often. "Yup. I'm a night owl by nature. Clubber by night and college student by day. Haha." He rubbed the back of his head, "I surprise myself that I'm still passing my classes when I'm pretty much here every night of the week." He smiled. "Pretty much everyone who works here knows my name, though I'm not much of a drinker. I like the glowsticks, to be honest, more than anything." He thought about it, "Is that a little weird to say?"

"I guess it is," Eliza laughed, looking around at the masses of people. "I suppose that's great for business, with all of the colleges around here. The one thing you can't stop a college kid from doing is partying." Of course, the girl wouldn't know that firsthand, but enough of her older friends had all turned into party animals once they left for college.

"Oh, wow, then you are here pretty much all the time then." Eliza was surprised by his answer. It was normal for college kids to want to party, but to visit the same club every night of the week? Wasn't that over-doing it? "Well, yeah, when you're here that often, I'd imagine mostly everyone would know your name. And the fact that you do pass your classes at the same time is crazy to me. Well done, though, I guess." She grinned. Looking around, she thought about how the glowsticks really looked cool in the place, and how everyone seemed to like them as well. "I don't think that's too weird to say. I think the glowsticks are awesome, very unique, in a sense. I can understand the not drinking as well. I am definitely not a drinker, whatsoever."

That was in fact, very true. Eliza never understood the appeal of drinking, when all it did was make a person act ridiculous. There was no 'fun' factor to the girl- she could have plenty of fun without alcohol.

Trey couldn't help but chuckle and nod at the words. "It's true. College students make up most of the weekend business. I'll never how Thursday began the day to begin the weekend." He wanted to laugh. "But whoever started it... Who knows how long their contribution to the club business will continue. For now, I think all the clubs appreciate college weekend beginning on Thursdays and heightening by Saturdays."

Gideionn smiled, "I'm just lucky with my classes, that's all. What about you? Do your classes keep you busy?" He could easily tell she wasn't originally from New York City. She said she was from out of town. "Where do you go to school?" He was curious. He was used to talking it up with club goers. He loved to find out where people came from and what brought them here. "Oh, good choice. Smart girl. Alcohol is a little overrated, isn't it. There are so many people here who just don't think that smart and drink one too many." He sighed and shook his head. He forgot how many times people had to get kicked out for fights. Too many to remember.

"Yeah, it must be nice for them, and it must bring in lots of dough for business." Eliza strained to make her voice heard over the music. She didn't have a loud voice to begin with, but when she had to compete with the noises of the club and the crowd, it was definitely a challenge. The girl only hoped that she could be heard.

Eliza hesitated when asked about her classes and where she went to school. "Uh, yeah, pretty busy most of the time. It's mostly my math classes that take up my time, with all the assignments and stuff." She shrugged while quickly searching her brain for names she could drop for a school. "I go to a small private college, in Massachusetts. Nothing too acclaimed or anything. You go to college somewhere near here, I assume?"

She listened to the man talk about alcohol, nodding her head in agreement. "I just don't get the appeal, you know? When you drink, you don't think straight anymore. I like being in control of what I'm thinking." Eliza laughed, looking at the guy, then down at the glowstick around her neck.

"Oh, quite agreed." Trey was used to having to hear voices over the music. He had grown accustomed to the sounds, so didn't have any trouble hearing her. Sure, he'd probably have trouble hearing a pin drop. But not a voice. He was rather good with making out voices.

"Oh math, horrible subject. I'm not too good at it. Once the subject tossed in the alphabet I was a goner." He joked. He really wasn't good at math when it came to adding in anything other than numbers. He was barely passing it as he was. "Oh. Yup. I study Business Administration at CUNY community. I can't hope to run a good business if I don't have a good background in the subject."

Gideionn nodded. "Oh, I quite understand. I much prefer the music. You can have a fun night out without drinking." It's why he liked always having fun bands playing. It was fun to just dance and have a good time, even though he probably should have been doing things like studying, doing school work, or actually being the boss in charge of the entire club.
