The future seemed so bright

He was depressed. Absolutely depressed. Adrien broke up with him five weeks ago and it was just getting worse for him. He was just laying around in his house for most of the time. Quidditch Practice was a complete embarrassment. He was never this bad, but he just couldn't keep his mind off of the break up. 'It's not you... Really it's not. I love you to death, but my job it's just too much.. I can't keep a relationship' kept replaying over in his head. It had to be a complete lie. He had to be the reason why Adrien didn't want him anymore. The whole house was a mess, but certain spots of where he had broke down and started ripping items from the wall and bookshelves were scattered around the house. He was to the point where he didn't even want to get up in the morning. Just lay in his bed and curl up. Cry himself back to sleep as many times as he could.

Honeydukes wasn't even making him happy. Even when he had bought several pieces of candy was was just standing in the store eating them. Michael was hoping he'd run into someone from the team in Hogsmeade. He'd feel a bit more happier if he got to talk to someone about something to keep his mind off Adrien. He was too tired to try and hold back tears in front of people so he would most defiantly just break down in front of them and run off to go be by himself. This was tough and he didn't know how to deal with it. He wondered how Adrien was feeling about the break up. Dammit, stop thinking about Adrien.

Deciding to finally leave Honeydukes to just go get some tea, it was much too early for him to start drinking even in his mental state. The snow crunched under his feet as he trudged across it. He didn't even care about the fans that would run up to him and start talking to him. He would nod, say oh really? that's pretty cool, and thanks, then sign their things so they'd be on their way. Who cared anymore? He didn't. The team had a curse and obviously it carried on over to him which is why Adrien broke up with him. That was the reason. He wasn't suppose to be happy about anything. Wearing his sweater over his long sleeved shirt was a stupid idea. He should have wore a coat, but the thought process when he was getting dressed to go out was that he was so numb inside he wouldn't feel it anyways.

Okay so Madame Puddifoot's was a bigger mistake. Stupid couples with their stupid kissy faces and their stupid relationship. That was suppose to be him. Suppose to be him and Adrien with Adrien's arm around his shoulder keeping him close and warming him up as they chatted over their tea. He ripped his eyes from the couple and headed to the window table. At least he could look out the window and not have to look at all of them. He ordered his tea and sipped it as he stared outside. He covered his face up and just sat there like that. Just shut all the things out Michael and think about nothing. Think about floating in space. Removing his hands he rubbed his eyes and groaned. He wanted to go die.

Jesse had just been visiting his sister and his nephew early in the morning and was on his way home when he decided to get a coffee or something. Usally he would grab a beer or firewhiskey or something but he had left far earlier then he expected so he stopped inside of a pub of places and smiled at the barista ordering a coffee and something to eat. As he got his stuff he looked for a place to sit. He then spotted one of the beaters on his team and he smiled walking over to Michael. Though he knew instantly there was something wrong.

Jesse came over and placed his stuff on the table sitting down at the vacant seat at Michaels table. "Hey Michael whats up man what has you so dark and gloomy?" he asked trying to get the beaters attention. Jesse was protective over two things, his family and his team who were like his second family. He couldnt have them getting all depressed and upset like it looked like Michael was getting. It was bad for them as people and really effected there game. Now he did appreciate and take care of his players and there personal wellbeing was always more important to him then the actual game but he didnt like when one effected the other.

Michael glanced up when he heard his name. That split second of his thought process before he had looked up was 'Great, a fan why do they have to talk to me?' He slightly smiled when he noticed it was Jesse. Jesus, Mary and Joesph. Just had to be Jesse. He picked his tea up and sipped from him.
"Nothing? Just enjoying a cup of tea." He smiled and leaned back in his chair. Lying was what he had to do. Putting on that fake smile just so his friends knew he was okay. This would make him feel better just getting to talk to someone to get his mind off of the whole issue. Michael leaned forward and sat the tea cup down onto the table.
"Actually, there is, but I rather not talk about it. Keeping my mind off will make me happy for a bit." His smile slowly shrunk down into nothingness as he stared at the liquid in his tea cup. He wanted someone just someone he could hold and call his or even better for someone to hold him. He finally looked back up at Jesse and started chewing on his bottom lip.
"I didn't miss practice or something did I?"

When he had seen Jesse the first day at practice he couldn't help but stare at him and think of the beautiful life they could have with each other. Okay, Michael was just weird and liked to think about how his life would be with people he found attractive. He remembered how he just smiled at him and tried to flirt with him the whole time. He pushed his attraction aside when he was dating Adrien, but now it just seemed different. He actually cared what was wrong.
"Um... I do want to talk about it. As long as you don't mind listening."

Jesse nodded seeing the tea in his hand smiling as he sat. "Nope you didn't miss practice, everything is good. Next practice will be soon so keep checking for updates and all that fun jazz, just getting things put back together if you know what i mean." He shrugged. It seemed he never got time off so it was kind of nice to just have a day where he could relax. If only his brother Emmett would do the same he was running himself into the ground.

Jesse knew that Michael was gay but he didnt hate or discriminate against anyone no matter what they believed or there sexuality he didnt care. Everyone had there choices and you were born the way you were born there was nothing you could do about it. Though Jesse definatly enjoyed womens company he knew not everyone was like him.

"Dude, I have a younger actress sister. Ive heard a lot of things I can listen and I have a very good ear." he said looking at Michael giving him a reasurring smile to try to calm the poor boys nerves.

"Good. I've missed practice before... Well you already know that." He hated when he missed practice. He always got extra drills to do and he was dead tired after training. He was lucky he even managed to get home after the drills. Michael sighed and sipped the tea. He kind of wished he missed it. At least it would give him another pain to keep him busy. Any kind of pain that wasn't in his heart would be great. This was just completely horrible for him. He just wanted to get drunk and go tell Adrien how he really felt. Maybe they could get back together. That would probably turn out into a complete failure.

His problems were most defiantly not the same as his sister's problems, but he was offering an ear for listening so why turn him down?
"My boyfriend broke up with me. He said his work wouldn't allow him to keep the relationship up, but I thought it was going pretty good and I don't know why he thought that and I thought he was about to tell me it was him and not you and and..," he shook his head and covered his eyes trying to keep himself from crying,"it's all my fault!"

"Yes, I do keep pretty good track of those things." Jesse wasent super stricked or anything but he had his rules and it made sence that if you missed a practice you had to work twice as hard and do all the crappy stuff before getting to do the funner stuff. It was how he was raised and it helped him figure things out when he was younger and keep him in tracked and got him to do what he needed to do.

Jesse raised and eyebrow when Michael began to break down letting his full vunerablity show. Jesse knew how it felt he had been dumped before and it didnt matter your sexual orintation it still sucked royal hippagriff. However his player breaking down in frount of him made him a little unconfortable simply because of there coach and player relationship however he knew that his player needed a friend and someone to be there and he didnt mind being there for him.

"Hey man that really sucks, im sorry. But you know what you will find a great guy who is worthy of you." he said feeling so much like a mom telling that to there broken hearted daughter. But it was the truth. Michael was a great guy and he was sure that the man would find love one day. Everyone hopes to find love. Even Jesse.

Michael shook his head slowly and removed his hands to show the world his tear stained face. He was never going to find someone for him. Adrien was his someone and now he lost it. He'd be alone for the rest of his life. Why did it all have to happen to him.
"I'm sorry... I shouldn't be pouring my heart out to you right in the middle of a tea shop with a bunch of couples," he wiped a tear from his eye, "this was a mistake coming here. I guess I only came here to feel sorry for myself. I guess I need to get over it."

That was the problem though. He didn't know how he was going to get over this heart break. Maybe he just needed to go find someone else, but that would only bring memories of Adrien back.
"Maybe I'll just move back to the states...."

"Michael, calm down its fine. I dont mind listening to you once again i have been told that i am a good shoulder to listen on. I am the none judgemental breakfast club here and you know what, its good to talk about things. It makes you feel better to get it out in the open. It will make you feel better which in turn will mke me feel better." he said looking at him raising an eyebrow at the man sitting acros from him.

"Its going to hurt for a while, break ups suck royally however you will heal, i know when me and Heidi broke up it was really hard for me but you will eventually come back. You're not moving backto the states you cannot run away from your problems when things are getting tough. Im not saying that just as your coach but also your friend okay man. You can't run, it wont do you any good."

He sighed and wiped the tears from his eyes. Michael couldn't believe he was crying in front of his couch.
"I'll just die alone...." He reached his hand across the table and bumped it against his. All he wanted was some type of human affection and even if all he was getting was comfort it was good enough for him.

"Jesse, you sure? Maybe I could just move over to the American team. Find someone there since it seems no one wants me here." He sighed and shook his head. Removing his hand away and picking his tea cup again, Michael sipped the tea. He loved how it felt. It was warm and spread a joy through his body.
"Sorry.... I shouldn't be saying I'm quitting the team. I love the team so much and I shouldn't be acting so immature."

"You are just saying that because you are hurt. Trust me you will find someone who is worthy of having your affection. Just have to wait for him to come by and be your prince charming." he said giving him a knowing look. Jesse knew how it felt ever since he became couch the line of women who came his way stopped almost suddently and there was a lot of nights he spent alone and it sucked for the mid-twentys man.

"Yeah, you are a asset to the team and you can't leave now. We are getting better and with more practice and not loosing people all the time we will become great again." Jesse believed he could make the team good again and they could win once again it would just take a lot of practice.
