As the student left, Professor Snape approached the Headmaster, placing the book upon his table before him. "Its a journal that I acquired. It should be your's. Perhaps you knew the author." Severus knew that the Headmaster darn sure did know him, as it was the private writings of his own Late friend. Severus had always listened intently as Albus reflected upon his childhood friendships from time to time. "There is something inside." Pressed in the pages were petals to a rare flower. Wizards used to grow their Potions Ingredients in their own back yards and kitchen windows. They called them an herb garden, so muggles would not question the odd shapes of the leaves. "These would be atomic today, based on their age alone." The petals would have a sure fire kick that would throw off any unlearned Potioneer today. Their age alone would make them volatile, but there are other factors which cannot be accounted for, such as how much sunlight they were exposed to during their blossoming phase, and the amount of water the consumed, among other factors. Very much information needed to be determined through testing, before these petals could be decided upon as an addition to one's Potion.
Severus sat in a seat and waited to see Albus' reaction to his presentation.
