Vera is the Head Field Agent of the Wizarding Espionage department, so she would have some dealings with Fudge. In some threads, I've made it quite clear that the pair have an adversarial relationship, but Vera is good at her job and Fudge therefore tolerates her.

She thinks Fudge is an idiot, and that in a fair system she would be in a position more powerful than his. She's not afraid to call him out in front of others, either. SO...thread with them arguing? :D
