Daniel Morin

It was on a very occasion that Alice would ever stay in her own dorm. Of course, she slept there, but shed would very rarely go there for much else. She did stay in the common room, but she tended to stay clear of her own dorm, mostly because she saw little reason to actually ever be in her own dorm. However, on the occasion that she did go to her dorm, it usually spelt trouble.

She had gone to her dorm, locking herself quite securely in the room. She'd busied herself with many things, from homework to reading, and even drawing. However, it wasn't long before she'd just fallen asleep, finding herself unable to entertain herself with anything.

However, she was soon woken up by a loud sound. Blearily, she opened her eyes. A frown came to her face and she strained to her the noise, which only continued. It was only as she got up and went to the door that she realized that it was the sound of someone who seemed to be either cursing or perhaps just yelling.

Curious, she left her dorm and followed it. As she followed it, it soon became apparent exactly what the noise was. A boy. And not only a boy, but one apparently trying to enter the girl's dorm. A futile effort really since all of the girls dorms were made so no boy could enter. Of course, this didn't apply for girls and the boys dorm as Alice had long ago learned.

Rolling her eyes, she opened the entrance to the door and was met with the face of none other than one Daniel Morin.

Everything did not seem fine, at least since an hour. Ever since, Daniel had walked into the Transfiguration classroom, where he had left his textbook and his beloved diary, his most valued belonging, only to find two couched figures occupying the classroom, which should be vacant, especially in this hour, when most students were in their common rooms, and anywhere else, except classrooms, since it was long since classes ended.

He raised his wand up, raising little alert or sign that he was in the classroom, until the pair saw the light from his wand, and jumped in shock, only he got the bigger shock, as his eyes widened as he recognized one of them two, much to his shock and disgrace.

"Raisa! What the hell are you doing with this abomination?"

His voice increased in volume every syllabus, as the girl spared no further look at him, and before he got a second glance at the boy she was with, she darted out of the classroom, in shame and tears, followed by the clearly shocked and confused boy.

Clearly disgruntled at what had unfolded before him, Daniel knew exactly one person who may provide some kind of explanation to what he had seem, the very person who often less him with no explanation with her actions. Alice O' Sullivan.

Clearly mad with rage, he stormed into the common room, and chanced upon a Slytherin girl, he knew stayed in the same dorm as her, and the girl guessed Alice must be in the dorm and made her way out in a rush, and Daniel with little choice or thought headed towards the girl's dorm, trying to access it, and failing and resorted to yelling at her, when he heard the door open, and saw her head towards him, and he tried to calm down, and give a cool image as he hissed.

"There you are."

Unlike Daniel, Alice was the perfect image of calmness. Her gaze was steady and not a single emotion could be spotted on her face. "So I am." she said, wrapping her arms around herself. As it was a weekend, she wasn't dressed in her uniform. Instead she had dressed herself in a simple white dress. However, since she had been sleeping, it was hugging her figure and she was something of a mess. Her hair somewhat in a disarray.

"Is there something you needed or have you decided to merely throw yourself at the girls dorm for the mere enjoyment of it?" she asked dryly, no particular warmth to her voice.

Daniel's gaze was fixed on Alice, unwavering as she walked out of her dorm, completely calm as she asked him, if there was something he needed or he decided he would merely throw himself at the girls dorm for the mere enjoyment of it. He smirked at her less-than-warm reply, nothing he was not expecting from her.

"Oh I thought it will be a great idea t o throw myself at the girls dorm, because it's something I enjoy doing actually."

He replied softly, and not bothering to conceal his sarcasm, and still looking at her, his eye bright blue, he asked softly.

"Well I thought it's time, I should have a chat with you, about my sister."

He turned his back to her and then added softly.

"I'd think we'd continue our chat elsewhere."

Alice clucked her tongue, her expression not changing in the slightest. "Turning into a masochist?" she said, raising an eyebrow. "Well, I suppose I shouldn't be very surprised, all things considered. You always did like to make things difficult for yourself." she said. As she said this, there was a certain glint in her which made it seem as though she was not quite speaking about the current subject at hand but another.

"Raisa?" she said, giving him a bored look. "What about her?" she said airily, as though she didn't quite know what he was speaking about. However, she did have some type of clue as to what he was likely speaking about. After all, whenever Daniel usually brought up Raisa with her, it was usually because of one particular reason. Boys. He could be so predictable at times. Funny how nobody realized this sometimes.

"Do you?" she said, an almost icy smirk coming to her face. It was slowly becoming apparent why Alice was acting rather distant with Daniel. It spoke straight through the distance in her eyes and in the iciness in her smirk. She was angry- no furious- with Daniel and it was highly unlikely he was going to get out of this as he usually did. "And why's that? I think right here is a perfectly fine place to speak."

Daniel raised his eyebrow at her reply, as she asked if he was turning into a masochist, and went on to say that he always did like to make things difficult for himself. He cleared his throat, as if trying to keep her back to his main issue, impatiently too, as he replied sarcastically.

"If you had enough things said about me, I suppose, we should get back the issue in hand."

It did seemed that Alice was not well informed about Raisa, as she asked clearly clueless, what about her, apparently knowing nothing of what she had been up to.

As he turned towards the door, and was halfway towards it, he heard her reply, and he turned to look at her, in a mixture of irritation and also annoyance, as she said that it was a perfectly fine place to speak in the room.

"Maybe it's right, what they say. That you are no longer the Alice of old, as I remember, you used to have much more brains, which you seem to be decidedly lacking, obviously from what I can see, in the past few minutes I have spoken. In that case, perhaps, I'd find a more useful person to speak to. Good day."

He said rather coldly, not bothering his words would annoy her, as he turned around to leave.

At Daniel's blunt insult, it took just about every inch of her willpower not to strangle him. He knew well enough how much she valued her intelligence and how she despised it when people took it under question. He was pushing it and was no doubt trying to get a response out of her.

Clenching her fist, she held back an insult and instead said, "You clearly have nothing important to say." She said, annoyance clear in her voice. With that, she went back to the dorm, shutting the door behind her.
