Vault 713 is a role playing game based in the universe from J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, where players respond by message board posts to play out stories as unique characters. Our game was originally formed as a group of role players looking to escape the restrictions of most RP groups at the time. Today we exist as an open, all-welcoming community that accepts players of all skill and experience levels.

Foundation

While more info can be found by viewing the History page in the right sidebar, Vault 713 was originally formed in 2001 as a group referred to as "The Slytherin Dorms." Since then the site has grown to include many more sections and features to be the game that you see today. It has been maintained by Manda Collis for the majority of this time, and still is today.

Plot Information

Our game follows the Harry Potter series in "real time" - where one year in real life equals to one year in Harry's time. We currently are in the process of playing through book four of the series, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, so the year is presently 1994. Open Community Policy

Vault 713 strives to have as open of a community as possible. As a policy, we do not turn down applications except in certain circumstances. We are available to work with any player who's application might not meet our current policies, and will do our best to make the new player comfortable with our atmosphere.

We have a zero tolerance drama policy and believe that all players should be welcome. Whether they have only seen the Harry Potter movies and not read the books or are just starting out on role playing, we strive to invite everyone into our community with open arms. Role Playing is a game, games are for having fun, not for restrictions and limitations.
