Traditional Character Sheet

My Name or Nickname:James Serpantine or Jamie
OOC Account Name: Glasgowboyiain93
Discord Username: Kenny Bryan (Iain)
How I found Vault 713: RPG Directory
My Previous Roleplaying Experience: Been on multiple RP Boards over the last 15 years on and off
My Favorite Harry Potter Character: Remus Lupin

NAME: James Serpantine
DATE OF BIRTH: 21/12/1963
EMPLOYER: Explorer with the Wizarding Expedition Society

PRIMARY ERA: Reformation

What is the concept for your character?
James is a troubled soul. Having had a wonderful childhood all the way through to graduating from Hogwarts when one day his long term partner disappeared with only a note left saying not to come looking for her. Since then he has been broken and took his job because he didn't have to deal with many people.
What other eras will they be active in and what will their job be in each era?
Marauders (Student) Golden Era (Intern with Wizarding Expedition Society)
What does your character look like?
Standing at exactly 6ft tall James is slightly over average height with a slightly muscular body. His hair is kept short with just enough of a light brown tuft on top to be spiked up with a maintained short beard, unless he was wearing his hat on expidition. When out on expidition James can be found wearing camo shorts with a plain white t-shirt and brown, heavy duty boots. When he has down time he is normally found in a smart/casual attire with a white shirt and trousers being his favourite. James also has a tattoo of the name "Winter" on his right forearm surrounded by waves of the ocean.
Where can we find your character when their story first begins?
James had been dealing with the loss of the person who meant the most to him in his entire life, his partner Winter. Having spent a few years as an aimless alcoholic spending all his time in the Leaky Cauldron he had an intervention by one of his old professors who set him on the path to his new job. Now a few years later James has thrown himself into work as a distraction and it seemed to be working, even if he always kept a couple of hip flasks of Fire Whiskey on him for the tough times when his mind would wonder to the name on his arm.
Who is someone from your characters past who influenced who they are today?
His long term and first ever love Winter. They met when he was a nervous wreck who didn't want to take risks, though after their time together helping each other facing their fears together he is now in a place where nothing really fases him in his job.
What does your character think their strongest and weakest traits are?
What is something your character wants but does not have?
A farm with open land where he can have his family, if he can ever truly move on.
What are their current short term and long term goals?
Short term goal is to travel to more places to explore the world. Long Term is to be able to retire somewhere peaceful in the countryside back home in Scotland.
What is your character doing now to work toward their goals?
Short term: He is taking all assignments he is offered with work as they explore further into sites than ever before. Long term: Saving money all the time to help build his dream home in the Scottish Highlands
What is their strongest childhood memory?
Entering a muggle Rowing competition as a child with his best friend Callum where they capsized during the race.

Welcome to the Wizarding World, James!

The Wizarding Expedition Society may be the perfect job for James to go out and explore the world...or simply run away from his problems. You might like to begin your story in Counting Stars, which takes place in Alaska, or by using one of the following thread ideas:

★ Rumours of a hidden artifact in South Asia have been spreading, but the area is widely unexplored and filled with Ramanga Vampires. Is James up to the task for the sake of a huge reward?

★ A colleague has incorrectly marked an exploration route in the Amazon Jungle. Does James follow it anyway at the risk of getting lost, or does he follow his instincts?

Before you jump in...
