NAME: Carter Whittaker
CHARACTER TYPE: Wizard
DATE OF BIRTH: March 2, 1972
BIRTH COUNTRY: America
CURRENT RESIDENCE: America
EMPLOYER: Mitchell Wizarding Penitentiary
POSITION: Prisoner

COUNTRY FLAG: Switzerland
PRIMARY ERA: Reformation

Concept: A man whose troubled past still haunts him to this day
Other Eras & Jobs: N/A

Ethnicity: Caucasian
Personality: Creative and honest, yet insecure, he struggles with his aggression. His only outlet is his love of painting, which he takes full advantage of whenever he's in the rec room. He can be charming when he wants to be, but that isn't very often. He is remarkably stubborn and bullheaded, and it often seems like he hates the world, which is probably true.

Backstory: At the age of 2, Carter's parents abruptly separated, and his mother left the country, taking him to Switzerland (a place she had always wanted to go). Carter grew up there, traveling around Europe and attending Beauxbatons, and had a relatively decent life up until he turned 15. At some point, he had gained a stepfather, but things were not working out. Carter wasn't a fan of his stepfather, and eventually there was a nasty divorce and he was being packed up to move back to America. Except Carter had no ties to America. All his friends were in Switzerland. Back in America, he started acting out at CAW, and dealt with bullies tormenting him for his accent and for being the new kid. Although he could have taken advanced courses, he spent too much time being suspended to even be considered an option. When he turned 18, he ran away from home without finishing school, living out of his car for the next several years of his life and working odd jobs. His troubled past kept haunting him, though, and in a desperate bid for money he got himself involved in a crime ring, one that ultimately landed him in prison
Recent History: He's been an inmate at Mitchel Wizarding Penitentiary for the past 3 years, serving an extended sentence for his part in the organized crime ring. His anger management issues continue to land him in trouble with the guards, and he has no visitors. His mother doesn't even know he's in prison.
Current Goals: Convince the guards to let him have more time in the rec room, figure out how he can go back to Switzerland if he ever gets out of prison (even with his record)

Hobbies: Painting, Reading
Loyalties: Himself
Magical Strengths: Charms
Magical Weaknesses: Potions

Strongest Childhood Memory: His first day at Beauxbatons, seeing the ice sculptures and the beauty of the palace
Secret They'll Never Tell: He doesn't really know what he'll do if he gets out of prison

Prized Possession: A Swiss flag he keeps folded under his cot

Welcome to the Wizarding World,
Carter Whittaker !
I'm interested to see where you're going to take Carter's story!

Prision has given Carter a lot of time to think about the choices he made that landed him there, but is he willing to learn from his mistakes? You might like to begin your story in A long trip which takes place in Chicago, or by using one of the following thread ideas:

★ While eating lunch you see two inmates exchanging a small, suspicious package. Do you tell the guards to try and gain their trust?
★Head to the ward's meeting room and sign up for wand registration exam classes.
